    Dell includes a Windows XP installation CD with many of their computers. It won't ask for a license key (but it won't install on a non-Dell PC). While it is specially manufactured for Dell, it does not include any extra crap. Just plain Windows.

    You can then install the crap of your choice from the "extras" CD supplied.

    If you'd bothered to RTFA (which I did a month or so ago) you would notice that the secondary server will only accept mail which was first rejected by the primary.
    I read TFA and it doesn't mention something like that. You must have read another article.

    Technically you are right. But it is safe to assume that they are the same in this case, because as far as math is concerned, "average" and "mean" are synonymous:

    the MTA looks up the MX for the sending domain and basically says 'do you know who cheapviagra@foo.com is?'.
    Just out of curiosity, how do you ask that? Most mail servers I know won't disclose if an e-mail address is valid or not (unless it's the domain name part which is invalid, of course).

    I think the idea is that Javalobby's copious articles had been showing up with good placement on Google, under more "generic" java-related searches (couldn't resist the pun).
    Then what does "We had completely disappeared from Google's main index!" mean? They should have said "Google reduced our ranking a bit because we can't handle spam" but I believe this is not as effective for a news story.

    Domain registrars (GoDaddy in your case) rarely point to the web server's IP address. Instead, they point to the nameservers that point to the web server. If this is the case, most probably your hosting provider is also providing you with DNS service. You should ask them.

    To put it another way, just do a whois query for your domain and look at the nameservers. If they look like ns1.yourhostingprovider.com, then your hosting provider is responsible for DNS (thus SPF).

    What about backups, portability, full text search (at least for some file types), mass deletions etc.

    Yeah, I can handle them within my application or through various batch scripts but why should I have to deal with those when I am using a dedicated tool to deal with data: The database... I mean, come on... Filesystem designers are trying to dump filesystems and use databases for everything.

    It is not evolution, it is a mutation. In order to call a mutation evolution, the mutation should be beneficial such that the creature can evade its predators better, breed better etc. Two headedness do not seem to possess evolutionary features as although the mutation exists in a million years, we apparently still don't see an increasing number of two headed reptiles. That leads us to the conclusion that single headed reptiles has an advantage over two headed reptiles, therefore evolution favors single headedness.

    eDonkey protocol already requires a central server for search. Although it is not necessary for the two peers to be connected to the same server, it could be used for those that are.
