    Correct. But a Dreamcast is really cheap and it is almost as good as a PS2. I always prefer a dedicated gaming machine instead of using my PC. If my PC is turned on, it is most probably doing something cpu intensive. If it is turned off, then it's easier to turn on the Dreamcast.

    Years ago I tried running the Sinclair Spectrum emulator (kind of... It only emulated BASIC interpreter) running on a Commodore 64 emulator running on an Amiga. Today it is perfectly possible to run the same setup using an Amiga emulator on PC instead of a real Amiga.

    Even my cell phone (Symbian 60) has a fully functional (with sound) C64 emulator on it. Too bad that you cannot connect a joystick to the phone. I should have bought an NGage...

    As I was one of the first researchers approved, I can say that they were serious when selecting researchers. After the first 400 researchers, they stopped accepting any more applications. The rest are selected among the "commenters" (ie. those non-researchers who commented on answers).

    Hotlink protection is not something magical, it depends on the referrer information sent by the browser. When you emulate a browser, it is trivial to fake the referrer.

    None of these would be possible if the layout was hard-coded into the keyboard.
    But a hard-coded "hint" would be handy. The user can always be given the ability to override that information.

    There was a version of Microsoft MultiPlan (ancestor of MS Excel) ported to Commodore 64. I'm not sure if it worked with GEOS or had its own GUI system though.

    Not quite true. C64 had hard drive, mouse and GUI (Geos). You only had to pay extra to buy them (but again, you had to purchase the floppy drive separately, too).

    In Firefox, you can change the behavior of such windows permanently:

    1. Type about:config in the location bar

    2. Type "dom.disable_window_open_feature" into the filter

    3. Change the settings as you see fit. For example, change "dom.disable_window_open_feature.resizable" to true if you want to be able to resize any window.
