Why in hell did the world give Microsoft control over computer bootup hardware?
That's just insane.
I am curious - with a huge SSL signing and authorities infrastructure in place, why did no one ever think to use it? That's probably horribly broken in many other ways, but at least it will only take one solution to solve both problems, when someone manages to fix SSL.
I never really understood what the point of platform independence here is. What is the problem with running a compiler once for every platform you are shipping to, and shipping the right binary to your customers? Is it really worth to pay in performance just to have "platform independence"?
When I learned the notation, I was told that the convention is choosing among all cyclic permutations the largest in lexicographical order. So "31" rather than "13" should be the norm. All the often-mentioned siteswaps seem to follow this convention.
I know a few people in Germany that run a free public Wi-Fi network and they have tried to get registered as an internet provider (alas, without success). Providers are not held liable for what people do using their connection; why should this be legally different? It seems that the only difference is that you are not paying for it.
I know almost nothing about Minecraft, but why should it be absolutely mentioned? Is it the first of the genre? The most successful? Is it an innovative modification of the original idea?
Must be great for finding exploitable home appliances. When is the last time you updated the firmware on your TV or your fridge? Wouldn't it be great if it were on an open network?
Sudoku is not Math. It's something that happens to have numbers in it (but they could be any other kind of symbols, and it would work in exactly the same way).
Looks like a great opportunity for virus and malware writing. All checks can bypassed, you said?
Well, since Pluto is already a non-planet with a God's name...
Don't worry, that's far beyond a robot's possibilities.
Megajournal? Must be one of the evil deeds of Kim Dotcom.
This gives a whole new meaning to "open access", incidentally...
Right! That's why I hold on to Netscape Navigator 1.0.

The flamewar is strong with these ones.

Can't wait for Mutants vs. Zombies!

(I know, this pattern should be called 31 rather than 13)
Hungarian, of course!
I wish the summary explained what BI is, for all of us that are too lazy to click on TFA and find out ourselves.

Oh, so it turns out that the Mayans were right, in the end?
I suggest the name "reverse alcohol" for this methodology.
So, do we (and Mark Shuttleworth) always have to answer with another question?
Most successful? Someone at Blizzard might not think the same way...

I give you a 2/5 - reasonable trolling attempt, but a bit too harsh. Try again.

Gendou Ikari didn't look quite dead to me...
