One of the unfair parts is that their accuracy goes up if you run faster. Get a map with 8 darksims, those railgun things, and just stand in a corner. They'll find you and... hit the walls around you with perfect accuracy.
With most database software you don't even need a RAM disk. You can tell MySQL to store certain tables/DBs in RAM, dunno about Postgres but even SQLite can do it. You'd probably want to wipe the address space afterwards though.
You tell 'em. I've never reinstalled XP on this machine either.
For the whole 15 or so months it's been installed, it never broke down on me. Yeah, it's a POS to use, impossible to get working the way I want it, but not once in those 15 months has it fucked me over without explanation or given me reason to change.
So anyway, as I was saying I got this computer 3 years ago...
Wow. I'd take that over 4 hours of FMV any day. (not that I ever bought any FF games, for this reason)

Load averages aren't just CPU usage. My non-HT P4 can get up to 7.5 on some days.

This thing would be great in a laptop: if you're only running 5 processes or so at once, you can turn off nearly all of the CPU.
I think it's trying to say 1000 Itaniums run at a combined speed of one teraflop.
And it made just as much sense in the context:
"the ability to steal one's entire life experiences on an accessible and easily searchable file"
They needed about 50MB of directx8 DLLs in addition, though.
4 minutes? Back in my day the cutscenes lasted 40 hours.
You're going to upgrade sooner or later anyway, or are you posting from an immortal 8088?
Tesla coils? In my PSU? No!
Don't be stupid. My camera's LCD screen has way better contrast than my desktop.
Besides, the desktop one won't fit in my scanner...

Or maybe it has more than one VGA input? What a shocking idea!
The Linux kernel can be made to use a different scheduler for hyperthreading, so maybe the same idea can be used for more complicated setups.
80-core CPUs = cheaper "low-end" 16-core ones
Okay, so you're using a huge capacitor to store enough energy to push a one-ton car approximately five hundred miles.
So how wide is the blast radius when it short circuits?
I've got a few Game Boy Color games with rumble that last for ages on just one AAA battery.

Wow, now I feel ripped off for buying those £70 N64 games. This PS3 thing is sounding better and better with every troll^Warticle Zonk posts.
"Buy a PS3, losers!"
Reminds me of the way Nintendo drove the N64 into the ground in the mid-90s.
FWIW, it's not just your country.
1. Import region-free Japanese PS3s
2. Sell Japanese PS3s
3. ???^WPROFIT!!!
I couldn't care less whether it was reactionless, oscillating or made entirely of fish. What I want to know is does the damn thing work?
A few well-placed switches can do wonders.
