actually on a related side note most of my less tech savvy friends usually call me when they try linux after hearing all the hubbub, and ask me which file system they should use, thats usually their first question because the a default ubuntu install it gives you what like 10 choices....thats enough to make any new users head spin.

The problem with your logic is that each case is extremely situational.

I graduated at 16(i wont even say im half as smart as that kid at 11...i was probably still wetting the bed at 11..well that's a bit of an exaggeration but you get the gist), i was testing 11th grade at 11 years old, I can openly say, had i not been skipped ahead, i would have turned out much for the worse, the problem when you dont let children bloom in their natural environment(be it gifted or special classes) they tend to not be nearly as efficient.

Then again was in no way socially mature enough to be skipped, but what it came down to is more of a crash course in social interaction. In the short run it did have its bad effects(IE: imagine being half the size of a normal freshman on senior beat down day.), but it also taught me how to interact much better with those older than me, and when you apply for a job at a younger age, more than likely your boss is going to be at least 10 years your senior, and being able to interact on the same level can make a relatively large difference.

if you consider screaming at each other on headsets GO B tactical then thats news to me...

CS is quake without the insane speed(the whole fun of quake the acrobatics and simple fun of it), if you want tactical, play the rainbow six series. Counter strike, has more or less become a breeding ground for annoying morons in the past couple years, being that almost every good player never plays outside of private passworded servers, and the game lost all its fun value being that any good player who still cares about the game, but got past playing it seriously that plays on public servers is stuck listening to screaming kids.

History of programming is a really good place to learn. ive sometimes found myself just downloading source off programs ill never use, and more times than not out of date, to look at them and learn, see what i personally would do differently, and say hmm well that could have been done better, and if the project is still being worked on ill either fix it or send it along to somebody.
