    Not if you are married to senior tax manager(CPA) that sends auditors from 50 states,the IRS and few foreign countries packing. Wife took all of 5 minutes writing a letter to end our IRS audit. She really gets a kick out of pointing out all the items they screwed up in the audit and when they go home empty handed.

    Problem with 1) is if it happened you already replaced the phone for full price. Problem for 2) is your phones battery would be dead by now .
    I am 2) and I replaced the battery myself with sony parts, so here is to throwing it in the bath tub and filing a warranty claim. (It isn't water proof from the pressure sensor).

    Having work military "certification" testing, the test are usually the most ideal conditions such that systems always passes. The test are usually set up just so it sorta works, the contractor gets paid and the military can say look at my new toy.
    My bet is on the navigation system/ radar system has a bug in which big ship under the right conditions just disappears from radar or the navigation system incorrectly plots the other ships vector.

    No usually only one cell is bad in you laptop battery, the rest of the cells are fine.

  16. With laptop batteries only one cell has to go bad for it not to work with a laptop, the rest of the cells are usually still good.

    Well this could happen with ANY LI+ battery system, even the Tesla powerwall. Lithium batteries always have a fire risk compared to other battery types.
