    if its a 3 phase short circuit engine, which is likely, the torque goes down quick as rpm goes up. When rpm=0 its basically a short circuit condition, it will pull whatever power it can get (and handle for a short period of time).

    the point is, if he didnt know how the operation went, how could he comment on its details?

    he either:

    1. lied about knowing the operation specifics
    2. lied knowing the operation specifics
    3. thought he knew the specifics but misinterpreted the report (which in his job may be the worst)
    4. didnt lie, but the wiretaps are illegal in germany and would be ..inconvenient at the trial

    you could of course separate the crime and payoff, say selling shares in a company short then triggering your bots to take it down. Or reverse, mess up a company, buy shares in it then tell your bots to stop and watch as your shares rise.

    I seem to remember someone making a billion bet markets would fall by 50ish% at a certain date...

    Well 3d cards do more than games, using gpus for general computation is a relatively new area.
    By opening the drivers they invite experimentation on a scale they have no chance of doing themselves.

    eclipse can switch to c/c++ among many others, sniff around http://www.eclipse.org/

    Ive just started using it, probably overkill in the extreme for me but its very nice and works out of the box for gcc.

    The whole copyright debate needs to move to a more fundamental level, theres never going to be any workable way for RIAA to keep their old model.
    The fact theyre allowed to ruin peoples lives over some songs is crazy, it goes against common sense and will never be accepted no matter what laws they buy.

    Ill gladly support musicians via concerts or even taxes, theres no way Im supporting all the evil crap around them tho.

    They may announce it soon, but its gonna take awhile for all the support bits to catch up I expect.

    Well the way you put your offer, ofcourse most would agree.
    Anyone reading the fine print of it, would probably not agree tho.

    Ie refrigeration sounds great, until you read the fine print (which we couldnt at the time) that it destroys the ozone layer.

    Regarding free time, the average work day (in Scandinavia) in the iron age was 2.5 hours, today it is 8. Sure we live longer now, as to who got more out of their life is another question.

    There is ofcourse no going back, however having some perspective is a good thing Id say. Also how we proceed is entirely up to ourselves.

    Just put a list of the skills required to understand the following documentation at the start, and concentrate on the issue.
