Science is built up of axioms from there we use observation and the scientific method with logical rules to create all the scientific information we have.
If instead you took the bible to be a list of axioms. And then used less rigid proofs and popular consensus to build up all of religious information. The pope is also allowed to write in new axioms.
While you may not see the religious as a valid construct in scientific terms it is valid from a philosophical POV. Clearly most of us on/. follow the science but if people want to follow religion that is an acceptable lifestyle choice. They are not restricted to following traditional logic as science has put out. Think of it more as a thought experiment than anything serious.
Last week I ordered a hit out on a professor through craigslist. Sure the interface was ugly but service was delivered on time so I really shouldn't be complaining.
That makes perfect sense if you assume the drive is one platter. Since the higher density drives likely have more platters of roughly the same same it doesn't really matter. But by your platter density comment I'm sure you knew that anyways. Well optimized drives can run a good deal faster though just by a smarter data allocation.
Mac Pro: a 2.66Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor, 3GB of memory, 640GB hard drive, 18x double-layer Superdrive, and a NVIDIA Geforce GT 120 with 512MB of memory priced at $2,499
What you really want is something to diagnose your addons. Task manager for FF if you will. Then you can see which ones are failing and why. I've got no speed or ram problems and use adblock, foxmarks, ietab, rikai, platypus, greasemonkey and imagezoom. I dont think you can blame FF for 3rd party addons directly.
To be fair Safari just had a major release. FF going to 3.0 was a huge change too but that was a while ago. But screen space? Just shutoff bars you dont need in FF. You can customize the nav bar to make it smaller (use small icons). Shut off bookmark bar. Leaving just the tabs and menu. Dunno how much smaller you can get without having bars auto hide (which would be a kick ass feature) or modding the window manager for your os directly.
Wow. No offense but only a Mac user would buy 4 of something he realizes is crap. That's somewhat amazing. I'm sure they match your iMacs nicely, i'm sure you didn't really want all that money anyways. I realize this is a complete troll but its just so... mind boggling I don't know what else to do. Maybe its a lifestyle choice and you hate money? Like some kind of fashionable commercial whore Buddhist but that makes no sense at all.
Lol why wouldn't you trust chinese people? Its not like you'll get shipped off to china for breaking their laws. Iraqi's and Afghani's are understandable because only rich people have internet and if they want to circumvent the filters in place it would be questionable why. Same with the french person, the laws are fairly lax so hes likely only circumventing child porn laws. But in China there is a chance they are circumventing a law for a possibly useful cause. Like tattle-tailing on the government. Given a GOOD and convincing reason however I'd let anyone have SSH through me. It wouldn't matter what country they are from. An easy chance to support freedom of speech just by changing some settings. Why wouldn't I? Also, don't be a racist wad ty.
Bruce is right. We should be banning dangerous things in our everyday life. I recently had DHMO brought to my attention. It is scary what you find it in:S. http://www.dhmo.org/
I think the danger is that workplaces will become too vanilla. Everyone will hire their own. And workplace diversity will drop quite a bit. Even if people aren't racist or don't try to discriminate subconsciously people will prefer employees similar to them. Over time if this becomes an accepted practice you will see less variety of people in workplaces and this will hurt the work if you have a kind of enforced group think. Conflict breeds creativity. I'm not saying hire a bunch of flamers and a born again Christian hick. But a little variety helps a company move forward rather than getting caught in a rut. 'Two heads are better than one' doesn't really apply if they are all the same head.
I did some research and its even better. I can get my laptop for 1300 AND a pc matching their specs for the same price as their pc. So its 55% pure profit, awesome.
I think you can get a laptop around the same specs for that much. I bought 3days ago a T500 for 1300$ 2.53GHz dual core (not quad), 3GB ram, 250GB hd(not640), radeon w/ 256mb not 512. But it came with a screen wireless card webcam bluray and is a freaking laptop and 1100dollars less. Mac pricing is insane.
Parent is NOT a troll.

This is clearly not a troll. Did a bunch of Enron employees get /. account or something?
No seriously, maybe one train in 1000 is off by over 30seconds (in major areas dunno about smaller places). Its impressive to say the least.
I lied again! There is an addon that lets you remove the Menus as well. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1455

Unsurprisingly $1000 cheaper and only lagging behind in HDD which can be upgraded.

Oh and I forgot the status bar at the bottom. View->status bar will shut that off.

I've been seeding an album since I got bittorrent a few years ago just to spite him. Not that I ever really listen to mettalica.

Its only supposed to delay posts by 30seconds not a few years. /. must be out to get you.

Catnip makes cats way more stoned than pot ever would.
Obligatory idle sucks. And idle formatting sucks.
64,000 year eh. Even for /. that's pretty bad.
Did we /. arstechnica? I cannot get to it.

Don't blame the scientists for their focus. Blame the Christians. (-1 Informative?)
Saving them possible thousands of dollars! While alienating the world outside the US even further. Brilliant.
And there is the whole low gravity thing to help out.
