Who has only 1 harddrive that is tech savvy enough to need a 1.5TB drive and uses it to record two shows at once while watching a show? A non geek should be fine with a 1TB drive... or 500 probably.

I would however look in to batteries people use for home solar panels. They would provide the exact same purpose really and i'm sure work better than car batteries. For 2k you get something with a 10year warranty capable of running much more than your TV though it will likely be good enough to run your tv for a good 15~16 years since its well below the total capacity. And it gives you the option of installing solar panels as well which, if you have the battery already are easily worth the money.

We've never had double minority liberal governments. So no it hasn't been a boon for the left. There is currently 1 right party 1 left party and 3 parties left of that. And the 1 right party gets in power with 38% of the popular vote. The BAD thing about merging parties is that we will end up with a 2 party system like in the states which personally frightens me. As for destroying confederation, oh my god. Harper has alienated much of Ontario cutting funding to us directly and funds Alberta directly. More importantly he transfers more power to the provinces every year which is really what is hurting confederation. When only 2 provinces actually like the leader even remotely that is a big problem. I'm fine with having someone based further west being in power but not to the detriment of every other province. But yeah we don't really use the senate anyways lol it can go, and A guaranteed seat in the house would not really work. Which party would have to have the official aboriginal seat? I think the premiers of each province should worry about keeping aboriginals happy.

I guess my main complaint was simply that the summary said most findings are false. But then how it was shown false is by saying peer review proved it false. Which is how the system is supposed to work. Publishing a paper is like handing it in, the peer review is getting marked. As you said, trusting a non reviewed paper is rediculous. I do think though you can have fairly good confidence in thoroughly reviewed work. Which basically means a dozen other people tried it out.

You are forced to restructure and downsize. Have to lay off employees and others bail since employee loyalty in a sinking ship is unsurprisingly low. So the suit ends and you pull out a win 3~4years later. You are awarded fees of 500k + 100k reimbursement. Sadly your company is now only worth 1.5million and you owe 2million in debts. So you close the company pay off the debts and give yourself a shiny 10,000$ bonus for your troubles. Oh and if you lose you will be in the hole by 600,000$ and have no job. You can likely avoid paying that but the point still stands.
Title is wrong. It says that the FDA is corrupt. And that published papers take around 3years to get peer reviewed where the bad ones are removed. What a blatent attack on science generally. Sure paper publishing needs to be reviewed but 'most published research is false' is an outright LIE. 'Most published research' includes all of our basis of scientific knowledge. If most of our theories on biology were wrong really we realistically wouldnt have been able to move forwards into working with genes if we didnt know what a cell did.
