Religion correlates with lower ethics (studies show the correlation between religion and crimes of all varieties). It is because 1 you can get forgiveness for anything, 2 you have god there to justify whatever you may do since the bible is so vague.
Exactly, google doesnt index yahoos rds crap. And they don't index the virus host. AND in the search listing they warn you if a site is potentially virused. I always was pro yahoo because competition is good but.... at this point i'm just waiting for them to die off, hopefully a decent competitor will come up.
lol thats so wrong. As a guy thats having a bbq right now. If you ate anything made out of meat why not eat your pets or your neighbours. And wth does god have to do with any of this? How about if god intended us to fly he would have given us wings?/. is all about doing things 'god' never intended anyways. What wild beasts do should have very very little to do with a society that lives in skyscrapers drives around in cars and spends a large portion of their time pressing bits of refined petroleum products while looking into another petroleum product. Please try again thankyou
Wow i got modded troll fast i guess i should elaborate. Vista gets jabbed for releasing a product that is under development. Then someone suggests linux instead.
Linux is CONSTANTLY under developement it is almost a living thing it is evolving all the time. I didn't say this was a bad thing. I just thought the switch suggestion was ironic.
There is an easy rule to follow./. will ALWAYS support the little guy. Because the market is so shitty in most areas there is often 1 dominating leader. This eventually leads to garbage due to the lack of competition.
Anyways... tesla builds electrics cars that out race porsches how could you think it wouldnt be popular?
"The current embassy, which opened July 1, 2004 in the "Green Zone", is being replaced with what has been described as the largest and most expensive embassy in the world. The new embassy has been mired in construction delays, but is expected to be completed in 2008."
Publicity stunt/extreme/nerdy is good in this case bringing hackers together for OSS to show off how hardcore they are. I doubt it has much to do with the code getting done in those 24hrs. Its an event.
I wish i could mod the article flamebait. There is not even a remote link or shred of evidence pointing to this. I find it offensive. How is blaming the chinese government for everything helpful? Demonizing countries in pas has sure helped? Oh wait, its made it worse every single time! I think governments need to learn some social graces. If I want a coworker to do something for me I don't call them evil all the time and get mad at them. I'll talk to them and work out something. Try getting your coworkers to comment their code by refusing to work with them and blaming them for all your problems is NOT the way to go.
Thats not a problem, i'll just have to buld an extension on the back to hold my server array... possibly a beowulf cluster or 10.... 20? ah hell i'll just throw in a few big blues to help out. The 7.2 million drives i'll need to be able to store downloads at that speed will be my REAL problem. Of course I can see the use for this BUT i doubt the average user can justify the several billion dollar expenditure to download 9000 HD movies per second. I'm sure people will be saying things like "Is it really necessary to backup the internet every 12days?" The answer is of course yes, people not on the cutting^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H bleeding edge just don't get it.
I suppose if you count ALL the nations. But you guys are realllllly far behind what the super power should be doing. I think you are in 15th place atm out of 200 countries... thats not bad i guess... But being the biggest economy in the world you could afford to do better.
I pretty much agree with what you said so i'll respond to you instead of the story...
What do you think about computers with built in webcams? ala MBP? The server you are pinging could send back a picture request every 3 seconds when you flag it as stolen. I think it would work for my situation since i'm on campus and its a pretty much closed environment. Though you are sadly right about the cops... i might have more luck with campus police.
I honestly do have faith in the moderating system, i mean i normally agree with the number but... Insightful? come on/. he suggested gluing a laptop to a desk.
This is going to come off flameish but... what did vietnam change/teach... I'm canadian so i certainly didnt learn about vietnam. I always thought the first lesson it would have taught would be dont go into frivolous drawn out guerilla wars that lead no where. But...
The physics involved when you are a good 1000tons and 10m tall is totally different. Hands... shockingly not that necessary... what would you be holding that wouldnt get obliterated while you picked it up? Plus if you had feet you frigging break everything you walked near, 500t per foot would definitely sink into concrete... on mud or sand you probably make it knee deep. Anyways if you are a multi multi billion dollar machine i'm sure obstacles are no problem. Hell you could make it a highway-laying KILLING machine.
Bad luck i'm guessing. I got an inspiron 9300 (Dell) when they 1st came out. It ran wireless fine off of a live gentoo cd. Then i tried ubuntu like 1year later which also worked fine, and i've had it run on a suse live cd even. Though my brother with a different dell was unable to use wirless out of the box he needed to install a fix for his card.
I think this is more a market share issue. When linux gains in numbers i believe companies might start to pay attention and have linux drivers released.
Google indexes more than any other search engine by expanding the web themselves. It was moving too slow for them.
Really though i don't think this will be a problem. People at google are pretty smart and i'm sure they've thought of this. Even if you believe google is evil there no evil corporate benefit to spamming garbled text to the entire internet.

We're working on the ferraris.
'broken window fallacy' on the last paragraph especially when the good it brought about was better ability to do harm :/

*leaves to eat his steak*
non ACs posting these makes me sad. Also its sad yahoo sucks so much that they host viruses. But then yahoo was never too smart.

Read the article you linked...

Because linux would never make you run not fully tested code? Lol

This is a good thing... After a while vietnam will move up... then africa and so on. Countries joining the 2nd world/1st world is a good thing.

sell bandwidth to google and turn your basement into a server area?

doesnt matter but that was shown to be a hoax or joke w/e. I think /. did a story correcting it too.

Better yet, just mod one of these: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/Bagger-garzweiler.jpg
It already has a 22m saw blade on it! though it weighs in at 13,500t so it might be sluggish.

Lol.... cause taxes and healthcare is like throwing away money... You pay more to maintain your health in the US.
I might agree with you in the higher end of wages... like 70+k
