The list of closed stores can be found at MCV: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/store-closures-begin-at-game-and-gamestation/093365
Just looking through the list shows lots of store duplications within towns, I know that Hanley had two stores within one shopping center seperated by a ceiling and a Gamestation in the main high street. And that's the list of just the closed down stores.
I wish this problem was exclusive to T Mobile, I really do. The sad thing is that I've been on two different networks and somehow firms seem to get hold of my mobile number and start calling me offering me an upgrade.
The most accurate firm was one who had my full Orange account details, so why wouldn't you trust a firm who knows where you live? When I reported this to Orange they acted surprised but did absolutely nothing about it, probably because data is flowing far too freely around their organisation.
My current provider isn't immune either, around 12 months on my previous contract with O2 I had multiple companies each trying to sell me a new contract. They claim it's just on an autodialer of numbers to call and have no personal information about me. However the fact that someone knows I'm on O2 means enough personal data is leaking.
I applaud Microsoft for this fairly open beta which could really help Windows 7 take off, however why are they sticking to a very traditional download route?
I'm aware that you'll be able to download the beta from many unofficial sources but Microsoft should be looking to utilize bit torrent.
Any problems regarding agreeing to a license could easily be done on installation.
Let's say this all happens, black boxes sit filtering my data and media companies supply signatures to identify their content.
What stops them from inserting Ubuntu iso signatures when getting a back hander from some big company in Redmond?
I've gotta hand it to my country, my digital rights are being trodden over very quickly.
First we have the fact that my cryptography keys can be demanded to be handed over with the threat of a sentence in prison, even though this law carries many loopholes. Ie if the sentence I'm accused of has a longer prison term than 5 years then just refuse to hand my keys over.
Now I'm being told that my ISP will more aggressively filter my data and check for copyright material, which gives the media companies a black box on my net connection.
This law will achieve nothing but to make the net more paranoid and open up new loopholes that can be exploited on this apparent 'war on terror'.
I've just recenetly been trying to multiseat X, the linuxtoys.org and http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Multiseat_X are good references on this, even though the gentoo one is a little outdated now.
Anyway, I recommend either Ubuntu or gentoo for this and I used Xorg 7.1 with Gnome 2.16.
I plugged an ATI Rage 128 with two matrox mga pci cards into the machine and started playing about, your core files that are going to allow you to do this is/etc/X11/xorg.conf &/etc/X11/gdm/custom.conf (or whatever flavour of xdm you are using)
Firstly in xorg.conf you will need to define your devices & seats as in the tutorial, a *WARNING* at this point. There currently exists a bug with multiseating within xorg, that if you don't have an active monitor and keyboard for each seat (excluding your primary device) then it will crash the entire system. (This bug has been reported)
Once you've done this it's the gdm configuration and I used the following:
0=Standard
1=Extra
[server-Standard]
name=Standard server
command=/usr/X11R6/bin/X0:0 -deferglyphs 16 -novtswitch -isolateDevice
PCI:1:0:0 -layout seat0
flexible=false
[server-Extra]
name=Extra Server
command=/usr/X11R6/bin/X1:1 -sharevts -deferglyphs 16 -isolateDevice PCI:0:9:0
-novtswitch -isolateDevice PCI:0:9:0 -layout seat1
flexible=false
This works for my system, the sharevts is a tricky option and it only served to give a display bug on my rage 128 (and wasn't required for the first video device).
I would also suggest you turn off any vtcontrol in xorg.conf, this can be done with:
Section "Serverflags"
Option "DontVTSwitch" "yes"
Option "DontZap" "yes"
EndSection
My conclusions? Multiseating can work very well, it's certainly on it's way to being more stable and certainly is viable for your situation.
You never need to reboot a good linux distro.
In addition I have lots of debug info available if something isn't working, you just don't get that with other operating systems.
Solaris 5.10 is run at our University and telnet is STILL running.
I might as well login to telnet as root and shut down telnet, though that I'm sure would be seen as naughty.
The shorter thing being that the set of Reals is actually a subset of the Imaginary numbers. But as people have pointed out from the article comments, What use really is nullity?
We don't define it for a reason, if the *Doctor of Computer Science* had produced some method that hinges on the fact of us defining 0/0 then his 'discovery' would be useful.
The only time we really look at 0/0 is in applications such as classifying equilibrium points in a phase plane using what's called the Alternative equation, however it's defined well enough not to need another pointless definition.
Honestly anyone can do what this guy has done by a simple Let 0/0 = . I also really doubt his expertise in the field, I'm just an undergrad Mathematics student so I don't go round doing this like this (yet).
I'd respect him a lot more if his research was in some Pure Maths, it's not even really in Applied maths.

"Have you sold out of your new toy yet potatomoto"
"Nope"
"Oh that's right, you made a whole lot of them. See,you'll never make it doing things that way"
Marks & Sparks have been having such huge problems due to them not being trendy for a long time, it's all in a name and they have certainly made some progress.
But from the millions M&S had years ago, they need less bad press and more reasons to shop there.
Though their food is quite yummy.
Whilst this is an uber fantasy for minimizing cost and development time, it will never exist.
You just have to look at the amount of bugs that exist in software, they will never really vanish and if we're not writing bespoke software they are likely to double.
The text talks about architecture within the project being what will replace the hard work, however software architects exist only in an a project at the start. It's rare to bring them in at the end and can you imagine the hell you'd go through having to debug some alien code if it's not working?
The people who make up architects in my University are just the people who are trying to make money for Computer Science, I pretty much see them as a lower form of a professional. The real Computer Scientists are those who bring new concepts, not those who spend all their time planning. I accept we need people from other disciplines to enhance our working practices but it should never be viewed that these people will take over the core subject.
For example we all know Computer Science was started from a bunch of crazy Mathematicians (Just look at Babbage and how he was publically ridiculed because he didn't complete his thinking engine), surely someone could also abstract from that time that we won't eventually need Mathematicians because Computer Scientists will still be needed.
But we still have the crazy Mathematicians as they are still required for the absolute core stuff.
From those principles let's honestly look at how businesses work, You'd never get such a repository put together of lots of clever code. A 100% bug free module for a specific task would cost more than the moon.
(About £8.8x10^22 in Cheese Pounds)
I am also getting extremely fed up with the state of Cedega, Transgaming seem to do very little quickly and just hype about what they are doing. I DO NOT care about them finding that "Microsoft knows how to throw a good party.", stop going to damn partys and get back in the lab.
They are as bad as Sun, well except the working products.

I own the patent for the Mathematical algorithm of SillyLawSuits! I'll see you in court.

I *might* of left a perl script running somewhere promoting Linux on some companies suggestions box.

Good news is that we could wipe out the USA quite quickly.

Time for it's mid life crisis then, well with the UK Government wanting all our keys soon then it's nice and apt.
Now I can enjoy all that forbidden Weebl & Bob Pie without the wine. I don't have to be drunk & dirty anymore.
Yes it's nice that google are providing yet another API, but I'm really put off by the writely new skin. It's less appealing it use.
