Honestly, it's time to give up this embargo. It's antiquated, outmoded, and even a little bit hypocritical. We don't have an embargo with China and China is a communist nation. What could it hurt to drop the embargo?
Wow, that sucks but it's very funny! It would have been funny had the tables been turned as well. If it had been Apple paying the NFL and the NFL commentators calling the devices a Surface, it would be just as funny if not more so.
I'm not a great fan of passing additional laws but this one is just good consumer protection. On the other side of the coin, businesses should be able to have comments that are just ridiculous removed as there are some people you just cannot please, no matter what.
the Nigerian 411 scammers is to simply give yourself the following test: "If it's too good to be true, it most definitely is." No one in their right is just going to wire several million dollars into your account in exchange for a small transaction fee. The best thing to do is just delete these emails. Or, if you feel intrepid, it might be fun to bait them along for a little bit.
I have a problem with Software Patent Trolls and those that patent stuff that clearly isn't innovative but no one patented it before. Patents were designed to protect true innovations, not for dubiously legal monetary extortion.
I would really like to learn to code and a job doing it. I can setup and maintain LAMP stacks in my sleep. I'm just tired of the infrastructure side of IT.
This is nice to see and it is far more practical, in today's technology, than fusion. It's a way to keep existing technology working and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. I'm all for it!
I believe NASA is operating under the assumption that the rover's on board flash memory is still serviceable. 10 years ago flash memory was still in its relative infancy. A reformat and reload risks bricking the rover completely.
I could see this being very plausible for someone that suffers from depression. Seeing other people happy could potentially adversely effect someone that is clinically depressed .
With all of the money they spend lobbying politicians and rallying people against municipal broadband, they could've built out their networks and made them even better. Utter stupidity!
I seem to remember a group of lawyers caught AT&T in the act of subtracting data from a phone that had been turned off and a class action suit ensued. Maybe do a google search on this and reach out to the same attorneys. It sounds like you have something with merit.
This is precisely why I go with the lesser of the evils, Verizon FiOS. I wouldn't give Comcast my money if they were the last ISP in the United States. I would simply just go with mobile broadband and stop streaming altogether if I had no alternative to Comcast. Really, all telecom companies are crooks but Comcast takes it to entirely new lows.
you aren't getting contacted by a Nigerian 411 scammer with some dead relative or something or other and trying to deposit a magical sum of money in your account.
I had one of these fookers once and decided to have a little bit of fun. I played myself off as an absolutely dumb user with very, very short term memory and kept asking the representative to repeat himself. I strung them along for 30 minutes before finally revealing that I was using Linux. I got yelled at and then they slammed the phone down. I hate these pond scum predators.
It is quite possible that all three points that the submitter raises are valid. I'm very likely to believe that the design was intentional. After all, in the software world, the consumer has become the beta tester and if the consumer has software problems, he or she needs to buy expensive "support packages." In effect, the marketing departments figured out how to force the consumer to be a beta tester and make money from the consumer's problems.
Nothing about what the Koch brothers do is ethical. They whip up a fear storm to get people who are less intelligent or less willing to think for themselves to side with them. It's amazing how many people will parrot back what they hear and vote against their interests.
I really like pfsense. It is FreeBSD based and very easy to setup. See http://www.pfsense.org/

We need more competition in thr ISP market again,

The autoplay feature is very annoying! Here's to hoping that Facebook gets its collective head out of its ass and rectifies the situation.

Or I'm thinking these hackers were blond and Polish! LOL! Caveat - I'm Polish and Jewish.
Yeah, less interagency data sharing is better given the propensity of government to abuse it! I'm right there with you!

If this applies to CDMA technology as well.
My ex and her sister have a very special name for the aforementioned state. They call it the People's Republic of Maryland.
This isn't altruistic of Microsoft but I'm happy they are putting up a fight just the same.

I'm far from an expert but the drought conditions out west are certainly telling something.
