But then you are saying that PC's are only good for running statistical / design / math / unix / hard to run stuff. Many people have goals that involve an application / media that will only run on windows (currently). That is the primary problem IMHO. Theres no need to say go play on a console, as it has no bearing on the topic.
Seriously thats an fugly page, all the flash is just gonna bog it down when the thousands pour in to look at it. Maybe they should streamline it more if they need all that flashy stuff.
The government doesn't run the country, the people do.
Then what is the point of electing them in the first place if 'we' run the country? And I don't see why American's are so bent on guns, and having them = Power(TM). I don't think they will tax virtual environments, this will create unnecessary taxation loopholes, etc that will just end up being exploited by people with the knowhow to pull it off.
Wow thats great, maybe someone might actually come up with a page design application that doesn't have flashing gifs, multiple videos, tacky backgrounds for my(crap)space. I don't understand why everyone on myspace must design their page like something out of the 1990's with as many flashing images and crap as possible.. Just to annoy you.
Amen!
Now we can go about our downloading business knowing that its 'flat' and that we are no LONGER costing the RIAA / MIAA MILLIONS (muahahaha!) of dollars in fictional losses.
That is actually pretty interesting "Trophy", I love the 'minimal collateral damage' point on that video, makes me want to be there when some guy is selling it to the military etc.:P
I'd also agree, most people are lazy and greedy, especially the ones I've met climbing the ladders in the corporate world. I was just discussing with a friend of mine, if it wasn't for the people below, the people on top would be lost & confused on a daily basis even with things like checking their email:P
MySQL's Mickos says, "Avoid young men without a wife or girlfriend or dog or parents."
Wouldn't that exclude most of/. readers? too? hehe
"We have people with lots of tattoos," notes Widenius. "Some of them I would not like to be with in the office every day."
They really seem to like their workers spread out don't they?

just as bad if not worse, I remember reading articles that delt with the rampant sex trade on Sims Online (I haven't kept up with it latley) but that basically became some kind of extortion scheme. Where n00bie sims players would be put into a jail, so their character couldn't get out, unless they paid the house owner money.
Either way, games are made to be a source of entertainment, wether good or bad. I think the article is one of the positives I've seen in a wave of negative tones in the US aimed at gamers / gamers.
Whats wrong with 'Pirate Bay' ?
They were never saying 'Na Na Na', they were saying they are a search engine, and plus under Swedish law, they didn't do anything wrong. I fail to see any merit to your comment other than to be flamebait.
