Why would a company create something to enforce students to watch ads and not learn.... Yea, that makes perfect sense when most children these days don't have the funds to buy at pizza if they wanted to.
Hmm... has anyone noticed that when one uses a bluetooth headset or OBEX for file transfer, you phone s battery life is cut by 25%. Well if that is the case, and I've seen it happen a lot due to the fact that I work in a cell phone retail store, won't such a device drain the battery of most phone in half?? What are they thinking? They might as well make tripple extended life batteries that fit in your pocket and have a cord to your phone!
Let me start off by saying that I play WoW maybe 1-2 hours a day, maybe. I've been playing since the game started, and only have one lvl60 character that doesn't even have tier0 set. I work 50-60 hours a week, married, and have a pregnant wife (who is 39 weeks and 2 days, and also plays WoW) and have never lost what come first in my life. I would love to see someone tell me I'm addicted for just playing the game. From what I have read on/. and other news sited about this MMORPG addiction is that they are trying to blame the medium for the users inability to control ones life style. So if you blame the medium, does that not also make me an addict. Now we are blaming a genre of games, why not them all?? Lets just say ALL gamers are addictive. Why not stop there, lets say, that since sports are a type of game, lets say that all pro athletes are addicted to there sport. Lets take it ALL away and go back to reading books by candle light. Thats what I see happening here. People that can not control their lives and can not prioritize their family, jobs, and hobbies are the ones to blame. They tell you in AA that its the alcohols fault when really, its yours for not knowing when to put the bottle down. People, get with the picture!! When someone gets hurt, hurts another and/or more, or hurts themselves, they DO NOT know how to blame themselves and take responsibility. They blame whatever is in from of them, around them, or connected to them in some way. Its just like saying Manson is responsible for Columbine, Doom is responsible for other shootings in the mid 90's, etc.
I will end this by stating one true and undeniable, old but true, fact:
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
the Mac Pro is $1,000 less than the equivalent Dell
Umkay... I keep seeing this so I went and checked it out. The cheapes MacBook Pro to date is $1999. In this price you get Intel Core Duo @ 2.16 GHz, 1GB or ram, 120GB of HD space, X6 double-layer dvd drive, 128MB ATI MOBILITY(TM) RADEON® X1600, and 15inch monitor.
Now to the Dell side. On the Dell E1505 you get Intel Core Duo @ 2.16 GHz, 1GB of ram, 120GB of HD spave, X8 double-layer dvd drive, 256MB 256MB ATI MOBILITY(TM) RADEON® X1400, and a 15.4inch monitor. And how much is this Dell??? Why $1399 of course!! $600 LESS!!!!! HOW IS A DELL $1000 MORE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I keep hearing people talk about how WoW can ruin your life, and how it's addictive, but I don't understand how it's the game or the manufactures fault! I've been playing WoW off and on for about two years. I play for a few hours a day and I don't pay to play every month. I think it's a great game, but if someone allows it to take over their life, then it's their own fault. People need to learn how to limit themselves, to moderate their time on a game. Everything in life is good for you as long as you take it in moderation! People blaming WoW for someone loosing their family, friends, or job is like blaming the music industry for children shooting their friends at school. I see it as, people blame the game or manufacture due to the fact that they are the easiest thing to blame. People need to start blaming themselves or others, and not a product. Now, if the game had subliminal messages that caused this, then YES, blame them game! But we all know it doesn't or they hid that stuff REALLY well!
Have people here not see the OSx86 project? Since Mac was forced to use Intel chips (points at Xbox 360) they had to make an x86 OS that would run on these new chips. Some people got together and hacked the Mac kernel and made a version of OSX that would run on any Intel AND AMD PC system. I've tried it, got all of my hardware to work, and now have a duel boot. Why you might ask? Because for one, I can, two, it runs faster than what I've seen it run on a Mac Book Pro!
Apple would make more money if they would officially make their OS run on PC's... I would actually buy this just to have it for testing! I like Mac, but I have a HUGE problem with not being able to build it. If I could build a Mac cheaper than buying a pre-built one (like the PC I'm using now) I would!
Also, I would LOVE to see Apple include more game support! I'm an avid gamer and don't understand why there are not as many games on Mac that there are on XP? The only thing I've heard is DirectX and CPU... Has someone besides transgaming thought of making a wine based program for Macs that would allow games to run, and at full speeds?
P.S. I love it when anyone says Microsoft or Mac in a news post today... In my mind, when I see either of these two words in a post on/. it means, "Instant Flame War Detected!" ROFL
I once worked for a cell phone company that put an "Over 65 barred rule" into effect due to the fact that phones were sold multiple times to people with Alzheimer's disease. This company was sued for even selling the phones to these elderly people by their families. Current companies today have to find some way to protect themselves, why doesn't anyone understand that. If someone could sue you and make money, they will, it's that simple now in days. That's why many companies are making new rules so that when they go to court, and they will, they can protect themselves.
Ok, first yea, being able to play Windows based games on Mac... so what? My biggest and foremost problem, and with many PC users, in not being able to play games on them, but its functionality. Like, if I can't build it myself, I don't want it. Just because you can play games on it, doesn't mean you will get most of the PC world to switch.
Ok, check this out people... The only thing that Sony has done here is make everyone in America, and in other countries, look at them. Why would they do this? THEY WANT TO SELL YOU STUFF! Shock advertising is just like Shock entertainment, it draws a large crowd. The people who hate it are their to protest it, the people who love it are there to support it, and then there are the middle people who come just to see what its all about. Example, look at Tommy Hilfiger, didn't he say he was racist?? And what did the African American's do? Nothing at all, they bought more. He said that only to get people to buy his products and some just burned them in protest while other wore more. Did he make more profit, Hell yea he did!!! Sony is doing the same thing. Although I will never purchase, nor own anything Sony, I've just never liked the quality of their products. As for others, it's your own opinion, do what you will. It's your right as a HUMAN to do so.

All I have to say is...
The grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side!
Nuff said.
