Just a guess, but there maybe USB ones, too. Not sure how big this thing is, is it drive size or "bigger then the computer in the first place" size? Guess that really determines where it gets put.
This may have downsides, and will probably bomb, but I wish it would work well. We cannot have real VR, for games, movies, etc, without smell. Now all we need is particle systems that don't suck and some type of way to "feel" the world.

If a Dell laptop blows up, nobody gives a damn because Dell is just another fish in the sea. Go with HP or Sony if you don't like Dell. But when it comes to MACS, you have only Apple, Apple and Apple to pick from.
I can go out right now and buy a SHIT HP laptop and it will probably not have major heat problems/keyboard/explode, and if it does, I can just phone up HP and they will replace it or fix it, yet the "far better" apple totally unsupports their (still costly) lower end line? BS.
Why does everyone seem to think Apple is better then Microsoft? They are one in the same; Apple is smaller, that's the ONLY reason you don't see Microsoft-esq BS coming out of them 24/7. I bet you 8,000$ that the second Macs become the main OS (computer?) they would become just as bad, if not worse, then Microsoft; only this time with control over the platform (can you imagen Microsoft owning Dell, Sony, HP, Gateway, etc, then making it impossible to build your own? That's the Apple of your dreams and my nightmare). OS monopoly isn't half as terrifying as platform monopoly.
Anyone that thinks Apple is really better needs to think long and hard about them and Microsoft. Ask yourself, is Microsoft any different then Apple? Do you really think Apple will care to be "revolutionary" (I would debate them being so now, but that's not the point) if they were as big as MS? We already know they like their DRM like their beer; mixed in with everything.

I do not, because I do not support capitalism, but if you do, you need to think long and hard about the fact out society is built around protecting the weak (normally the rich in terms of personal ability) and averting the real Darwinism of the world, making it into some one-sided corrupt system.

I don't find "Pirate" offensive, most "Pirates" like to be called it and even take it to make whole styles related to their sites (see the pirate bay). It's clear to most people that "piracy" has NOTHING to do with Line Ships attacking Dutch cargo ships, so it's not really negative at all. In this case, it's probably BETTER then calling it "copyright infringement" because it sounds like a more comical act.

I don't see it using PCI. Low overhead and the need to be near the user makes me think a drive bay is more likely.
