I think it makes sense. Instead of spending tax dollars on something very few people (in contrast to the total number of taxpayers,) it's paid with by a per-use fee. If anything there's probably more tax-paid government services that could be handled this way.
Free incoming calls (anyone who calls you). The $30 is to pay for the service and a certain number of outgoing minutes (which he said he doesn't know how many)
My (favorite band) has always managed to make their best songs not-singles. Usually the singles are the ones I -don't- like off their albums. I'd rather they keep making full albums, especially so when I go to see them live it's not like I paid $60 to listen to the radio.
But it's not a search engine, it's a decision engine! It's obviously deciding that Macs and Linux are more expensive than Windows, and tuning the results appropriately!
As much as it might seem like it is, (and as is likely that Comcast is still lying anyway), this isn't an issue of net neutrality. You're using their DNS servers as a service, and their DNS servers are what is behaving this way. Change your DNS server, something you're fully in your power to do, and so is any home user, and you're set. Or call/visit their site and opt-out (for real, no cookie BS).
Now I just have a picture in my head of the whole thing not working because somebody tripped over the cable connecting the whole thing to the standard wall outlet..
Except if Apple's app approval process worked (correctly, at all, whatever) they would reject the 'duplicate' submission. This doesn't have anything to do with the GPL though. At worst, you should be able to get a developer's license (or just jailbreak your phone) and run the code without putting it up in the store.
You're very right, as sometimes it takes some searching to find things that were well-known before.. but as someone else pointed out in another comment, a good number of feature requests were for stuff that was already in there. For example, I didn't know the Research stuff for citations was in Word until the Research ribbon tab in 2007.
I want out!
What do you think this is, The Matrix?!
I'm fairly certain Google is working on that!

When I installed XP over 2000, I upgraded right from 6 to 8 and hated it.
Wh..what? That means you had to have just upgraded to XP some time this year..
about starting a class-action lawsuit against them
Yeah.. good luck with that.

You don't get a jury in a civil case.

When I first read the summary, I was thinking, what does the Office of Naval Intelligence have to do with this?
And not only that, but the entire Xbox 360 platform would have to die off with it, since all development is done in Windows and Visual Studio.
Surely you mean æffect!
You should really change your MOTD to something more interesting.

I don't think 7 is a binary number. Er, a number involved in binary.
The contents of WinSxS folder are mostly hardlinks, and the Properties dialog doesn't correctly show the disk-use size on Vista. http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/archive/2008/11/19/disk-space.aspx

the whole thing propagated worldwide.
Radios? Propagated? Get it? *snicker*

Knowing Apple, if they found out, they'd probably pull you from the App Store.
Reverse engineering is against the DMCA.
Woah, I think you need to re-read your DMCA.
That, is a very good point. Though people using the PSP are used to the on-screen keyboard, that might prove more of an impediment to Android.
It's scary to think I could have signed up years before I did, and I'd still only have a 6 digit ID. Of course, we'll have 7's for an eternity, now.

The Eee 701 doesn't have a touchscreen either, but Android was ported to it.
