  1. Re:Warning - Honest opinion below on Attempting To Reframe "KDE Vs. GNOME" · · Score: 0

i have to say that i like kde3.5 better than 4.x because of the functionality of certain applications. for example, kopete (kde4 version) just doesn't work as friendly as k3.5. and on the other hand, amarok [latest] for example just doesnt run (at least on my set up) on 3.5. So yeah, i feel a bit hurtful because i feel forced to use kde4. BUT! that's just a small inconvenience in exchange on what has been a wonderful experience since 2007. lll! (long live linux!)

  12. Re:ANOTHER FOOD-BASED FUEL CELL on Sony Runs Walkman Off Sugar-Based Bio Battery · · Score: 0

Not to worry, noticed that most of the "sugar" based sweets in the US are actually made out of corn syrup... at least in most, if not all of the latin america countries we do get our sugar fix out of good ol' sugar cane... sugar.

OTOH, some alcohol based fuels use the processed sugar cane bark as a source, so its a good industry so to speak, we get our cola fix, and the left overs of the process get decomposed down to organic gases and/or alcohols that fuel stuff (propane for example). Plus the macro particles that are left from the bark goop can be used for crop soil.

    Really, no worries :)

eXtreme Programming or XP, was allegedly championed by Kent Beck. XP is an approach to projects that encourages flexible, design-oriented, higly focused planning and execution.

A good book on this movement would be "the pragmatic programmer" by Anrew Hunt and David Thomas.

    Hope this helps. :)

I blame the system :P you just tend to develop a callous exterior when your superiors or corporate overlords start thinking they can bleed the "naive" IT tech/manager/et al, when the hot chick's pc in marketing fails, then she notices you; when a server fails during a holiday then your manager says how important you are to the operation. But what happens when you ask for a raise or want to go high in the corporate ladder? or Heaven's forbid.... vacations :o I'm pretty sure I'm not alone here, but really... please. What about malpractice in medics, leaving metal instruments in patients. Or immigration lawyers scamming underpaid illegal laborers. Crooked politicians. Police using excessive force. I can do this all day long... Come on /. don't blame me for sticking it up the corporate man and standing for myself. Besides, it feels great to say : I'm here to solve problems, not to stand here and listen to your bull. kthxbai. Face on salesman: *priceless*
