Slashdot is great. It's started and/or run by Rob Malda. You can learn a lot about Linux here. A subset of Linux is ubuntu. (I never know how to capitalize that.) A colleage of mine is just starting to look at ubuntu. Anyone know if 9.04 is any good? But then there's the problems with Debian proper vs ubuntu... But back on topic! Slashdot is great.

My copy of Firefox 3.5beta4 seems to get 93/100 on Acid3.

Now the scary thing is that my little page works in that, and BREAKS in Opera10! Which gets 100.

    Damnit.

I presume I have to trust that "100% is better than 93%".

Does Opera have its OWN glitches or should I assume that whenever Firefox gets to 100% it will show the same glitch?

(That's like MS's ODF - "it passes spec" and still breaks.)

    Nope. They'd love that word.

It's parents wringing their hands at the thought their 5th grader might see it and be corrupted. It's like that twilight zone episode, something like (horribly paraphrased) "Oh yeah? Well, when *I* was a kid, Chestnut Street was THE lion's roar, yesirree!!!". (He later finds out, he was making it up, because he used to get his a$$ kicked.)

The Last Cavalier (originally published in France in 2005 under the title Le Chevalier de Sainte-Hermine) is an unfinished historical novel by Alexandre Dumas. It is believed to be Dumas' last major work, and the story was lost until 2005, when it was announced that an almost-complete copy had been found in the form of a newspaper serial. While a number of his previously forgotten works have been unearthed, this is the largest at 900 pages.

    Variables FTW!

By articles I actually include Blog posts. (Doesn't have to be company sponsored help files.) Most blog posts are at least ten sentences long, and some are gold mines.

I said I hated forum posts because I tend to get these silly 1-liners clogging my basic searches.
You can take the variable and flip it the other way to weight forum posts. Either way it's a customization win.
