Er.. What happens in other countries is none of thier business. A UK citizen running a business based in the UK has no obligation to abide by US law. The people obligated to abide by US law are people living or operating a business in the US.

I don't think people should be modded as "troll" for commenting on how the quality of slashdot is falling.
If a story is pointless, Uninteresting and Old news people are entitlled to say so.
Perhaps you would prefer posting on slashdotistan where people aren't allowed to express a personal opinion without being branded as a traitor or trouble maker.

What with last weeks post about installing windows, and now this one "informing" us about proxy sites slashdot seem to be posting very trivial things now, Hardlly the cutting edge tech news site it used to be.
There should be a policy amendment to slashdot story submition guidelines. Rule#1 Make sure the site is running on something better than a 56k dial up modem.
Well if hollywood feel ok about stealing my bandwidth for thier own profit it makes me feel better about stealing thier movies for mine.. Anybody wanna buy a fuzzy copy of spiderman?
