The article says that AMD has a goal of catching up within 18 months to Intel's lead on the way to 45-nm technology. How are they already 18 months behind when they were ahead 4 months ago?
I would be much more interested in the commentary of a front line warrior, than I would from a theoretical preacher Well he did CREATE the language....
Yep I worked at Office Depot, as a teenager as well:
- No one except the store manager can accuse someone of shoplifting and/or take action
- there were NO cameras anywhere
- if the Manager accuses someone without actually seeing them take the item, he will lose his job
I am just starting college and I have had an Etrade account for over a year now. I am 18, and not only have I made a few hundred dollars off an investment of $2500, but I've learned a lot about finances and business in general. I bought Transmeta at $1.32 and sold at 1.70, and am now a holder of Microsoft which is doing well. Do your research and place your 'bets' carefully, and the percieved risky bet turns into a calculated decision. If you don't feel comfortable with stock trading, Etrade has a very good "Money Market" account, which I view as a hybrid CD/checking account. It is high-yield (5.X%) account from which you can withdraw your money at any time.
Why must all anti-ATI comments end with "on Linux" ?
All you linux bedwetters need step into the real world. ATi, as far as my experience goes, has made solid GPU's. You represent a minority of ~5%, you do not rule the tech industry. Get over it.
How could something that large and efficiency-dependent be written in non-native code?
Please... he's one of the most influential people in the field of computer science today, at least spell his name right.
Searching for pill and the pill should yield very different results. Yes nouns are more important, but articles and other words cannot be disregarded.
And on a much larger scale? http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/
Ban SUV's? Maybe we should start banning other unnecessary things too... like the internet, so morons like you don't annoy the rest of us.
Straight to the Nature article: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v444/n7119/ab s/nature05357.html
As I recall, he got the most votes.
"Microsoft .... that gives a boost to Linux"
a boost? When's the last time Microsoft's involvement changed anything for the better?
"Dell Admit Trying to Fiddle Reviews" ?
Every time I see an article like this [cnn.com], I truly feel as if I do not belong here.
Well I'm running Vista RC1. Some other things are strangley disfunctional as well... tinfoil hat?
Except it deleted all my bookmarks from Firefox 1.5. Thanks.
Then who were they provided by, exactly?

Just something to think about.
