The biggest problem these days with mobile sites is the vast ammount of resolution differences between mobiles..
I Personally don't like mobile sites, they miss so much stuff or work really crappy.. Mostly i just tell the browser to load the regular site, but even those are getting worse and worse (because of a lot of junk being added to the sites which may look good on a desktop machine with a good cpu/gpu, but is just crap on anything else..)
Facebook is one of the best examples on how crap a site can be on different browsers..
It shouldn't be opt-out, it should be opt-in....
People wearing google glasses should really be carefull, as more and more people will not stand you wearing one while facing them (and I don't blame them)..
Maybe it's not great because this time it's about busting DRM, but ofcourse it shouldn't be like an opensource project wouldn't be liable for any illegal activity while a closed source project would be fined.. Open source doesn't mean it doesn't have to obey laws..
finally some decend looking cars... Most normal cars are soooooo ugly these days.. I hope Jeep will make an all electric cherokee/wrangler.. Electric cars are the future...
Being drunk without the negative symptoms would only cause more problems IMHO. The negative symptoms make sure (at least some) people think about what they are doing. A lot more people would be drunk all day.. Just live with the consequences of drinking regular alcohol...
Also I don't understand why 'drink'companies would have a problem with a substitude alcohol, they've been looking for it for quite some time, all it will do is give them more ways to get people to drink..
the article seems to indicate project flare is something new, but it isn't, it's just Another streaming gaming service, just like OnLive ans gaikai already were, and there already were some other services like that (but not so advanced)..
Yes I do appreciate it.. just like the anonymous above here corrects me for the use of "who's" which should have been "whose", that's one I didn't notice...
*sigh*.. If I could uninstall it I would have, it's a common problem (just read some forums).. I have a motorolla xoom tablet.. Yes, QuickOffice is free, I know that too, but before you can install the latest version you need to be able to remove the old one, and that's not possible when QO shipped with your tablet (at least on 'older' devices)..
Yes it's an android fuckup, for letting OEM's being able to do it in the first place.. the motorolla xoom was the honeycomb developer device, so it was the 'nexus' device in that time, and that's the one that I have and is having the problem..
or it's because english isn't my main language (yes, there are people who's first language isn't english).. but you are right, it should have been 'your', i just hadn't reread my post because i was using a touchscreen keyboard on my tablet to post the specfic post and typing and correcting posts on a tablet just sucks balls..
yeah, great, another android fuck-up, if you're tablet or phone is pre-loaded with it, you can't update to a newer version unless the manufacturer releases a newer version.. therefore i'm stuck to a very old version of quickoffice on my xoom...
yeah stuff happens, doing that (taking social phone calls, texting etc) will get you home and start looking for a new job... between 9 to 5 you're on company time not your own.. It's ridiculous that people expect to be able to use their phone on whatever time they can. Because you can be available anytime because you've got you're phone in your pants, doesn't mean you should be available. You'll see you're girl/boyfriend after work again, no need to yab about everything during your work..
But this is not about texting/taking phonecalls for work, it's about social calls/texting, and even then, you're in a f-ing meeting, turn off all the devices unless you're really expecting a call, but then you can tell it in advance..
No, texting is not normal, it's rude and should not be done during meetings or classes unless it actually has something to do with the meeting/class itself.. You're at work/school, so you should leave the private stuff for lunchbreaks or after work..
If it's during my meeting I'll warn you once, if during the same meeting it happens again, I'll warn you twice, if it happens a third time during the same meeting, your mobile will become an UFO that'll crash..
People should just have some respect for others and work, and should know that private calls are not for businesshours unless there really is an emergency.. I pay you to work, not to spend your office hours on your socialmedia hub..
Even at 1920x1080 they still haven't achieved photorealism for gaming, and yes it get's better, but if you look at the latest BF4 trailers, those video's are done with triple highend GPU's, and even those seem to be rather smooth and lifelike, they still need a lot of extra detail to make it even more realistic, and it will still take a few years before we have GPU's in the what we call 'mainstream' (100-200 euro for a videocard).
Upping the resolution for gaming isn't really usefull (except maybe on larger monitors (27" and up) as with higher resolutions more powerfull GPU's are needed to 'fill' the extra resolution..
We've still got a long road ahead to get lifelike facial animations (yes even though the nvidia demo's looked awesome, but those were only one face and everything dedicated to that face, will be a different matter if you have a crowd)..
It's not like having your cellphone in your car, it's more like having you cellphone in front of you.. The problem is, there is no way an officer (or anybody else) can check if the person is not using the googleglasses for anything other than navigation... Knowing humans and their toys, you just know people will use the googleglass for checking mail and other crap during driving.. the barrier to do that is soo low, even people who claim who wouldn't do that, will do it.. Google glasses (or any wearable mediaglasses) don't have a place during driving, you have to keep your eyes on the road, not your mediadevice.. I've seen people watching complete movies while speeding at the highway, it's just scary..
What france is doing is illegal according to european laws/agreements. It's state funded bookstores (goverment buys the buildings and leases them for much lower prices as a commercial company can ask, also making a low to prevent free business is also illegal)..
as is said, he was not arrested.. messing the stuff up WILL get you arrested, there is a difference between misusing an exploit or only reporting it..

And playstation 3 also supports silverlight? Not a chance....

that's the big question, for all we know it also could be just a story written by some person who just sold it for a lot of money...
So not really a second victory, as Samsung now has to pay out a much lesser fine than originally..

Really? and you don't think I (and other Xoom users) already tried that?
And THAT's the problem with QO that is shipped with the Xoom..
Just read some f-ing forums in regard to QO, without rooting you cannot 'update' older versions of QO.. I'm not spreading BS, you are..

We'll I can't.. it gives an error (and I'm not the only one), and I cannot deinstall the original one that came with the tablet..
