  1. Re:Eugenics on Super-Vaccine For Flu In Development · · Score: 2, Informative

Everyone is born immune to virii as they don't exist. Viruses however are a different story.

  2. Movies do the same thing on How MythTV Detects and Flags Commercials · · Score: 1

They do the same thing with the trailers they tack on the front of movies in the theatre. So remember don't go asking for the projectionist to turn it down because the trailers are so loud because then you'll have to go ask them to turn it back up once the movie comes on. Unless they've made good use of their cues and set them to adjust the volume down for the trailers and back to normal for the feature.

Now perhaps he was referring to this part. "Unless applicable law gives you more rights despite this limitation, you may use the software only as expressly permitted in this agreement." Now if it has been established by law that I am allowed to keep a backup image of software I have purchased, then this little line right here says that whatever else is stated in the EULA is trumped by the established law.

  9. Methaphorical distribution on George Lucas To Quit Movie Business · · Score: 1

I am always extremely cautious when looking for new ways to distribute any kind of meth.

  10. Diebold on Another ATM Maker Pwned by Googling · · Score: 1

Actually Diebold ATMs need to be physically opened (in some cases opening a combination lock with a constantly changing combination) and then require two passwords (one to disable the alarm and one to login) to access any admin controls. These appear to be the low end models of the ATM world that have this blatant flaw.

  11. Re:Internet? on Could You Be Addicted to the Internet? · · Score: 1

Yeah, cause I was under the impression that it was a big truck that I could just pack a lot into.

  12. Re:bush quote on the subject on U.S. Backs Apple's iTunes DRM · · Score: 1
