Not all of 'us' feel as you do. Most of 'us' do it purely out of curiosity, not because we want to impress some stranger on a forum somewhere. Hackers make the world go round, money keeps the bills paid. So just because he won't be welcomed in your basement does not mean I won't invite him down to mine.

Bah, Bulldozer it. If we can not be bothered to save Rainforests because we want fuel, nor can we stop ourselves from throwing the Elderly on the street because we want a freeway off-ramp right there their home is, then why save this building? If no one has had a use for it in the last 6 months, get rid of it.

The Responsibility of Identifying those 'Cards' affected is with the Financial Institutions. Most have the ability to attempt to scan through their Customers transactions and possibly determine who was affected by this even in the slightest, and issue a new card to their Customer/Client/Member, Etc.

And just to add, TJX/TJ Max/Etc, is just the latest in a long history of comprimises occurring. In Example, about a year or so ago, Mastercard just had trouble with one of it's Vendors not meeting minimum requirements of security, thus Mastercard was forced to alert all Financial Institutions of the 'Possible' Compromise due to this Vendor not being able to say Yes or No to data potentially being leaked.

With this, I have not read (nor probably will) anything on those stolen cards being put to use, but due to the amount of 'Re-Issuing' that has had to happen as of late, F.I.'s are just in the mode of 'Better Safe than Sorry'.

Do not get me wrong here, I do not appreciate seeing any portion of a company move off of American Soil, but this is only their Headquarters, Not all the other Offices they will retain in the US. I mean are People suffering agnst here because they are relocating their Headquarters to UAE? What if they Relocated to Ireland, or any place in Europe? No one seems to have problems when other companies have done that in the past, but as soon as they move to a Middle Eastern country, Break out the Torches and Pitchforks Billy Bob!

So, in the end, Fuck em, let them go, Not like anyone is really going to care 6 months after they move.

Its really not that hard to find drivers for your hardware from the manufactures site anyway I would see that to be the case when buying whole systems from HP, Dell, Etc. Just as much the same if you buy Brand name parts all the time. But when you work on machines for people who go cheaper and buy off-brand name equipment, then you start spending Hours looking for a driver for their sound card. Also, as another Comment said here, This list appears to serve to point out a problem with the OS than a way for Consumers to easily find Drivers.
