    Carbon and silicon have a slight difference -it's a network molecule. If you look at CO2, for example, it looks something like O-C-O, while a Si02 looks more like O-Si-O-Si-O-Si, and so on. It forms many many more sigma bonds. That's why it's such a great conductor.

    I know they sell it, but I always thought it was more of a "sell it for the cost of the box + cd, keep the company alive" deal, but the other comment made it clear to me that they must release the source, thereby enabling people to download instead of buy their software.

    We all like Wil. He's CleverNickName, a cool slashdot posting dude with a cool website who does cool stuff. But that does not mean we need to like Wesley. Not by any means. You can like the actor without liking the character.
