    No, I'm complaining about AMBIGUOUS names. For a group of "smart people" you guys don't read very well.

    I don't need them to BeLongAndSpecifyEveryPartOfTheFuncationaly(). I want them to be descriptive and unambiguous. "Chomp" (as an example) does not tell me what it does. "CleanStream" or "TrimCRLF" or something similar is unambiguous and short.

    Once again. Read the definition of ambiguous. If you can't tell what it does clearly by the function name it is ambiguous. I was using Chomp as an easily identifiable example, but I'm happy to go to the perl docs and drag out 5 more ambiguous methods.

    ambiguous: open to or having several possible meanings or interpretations

    Either you don't know what ambiguous means or you only know the word chomp to mean "Remove trailing CR/LF"... in which case I recommend RTFDictionary.
