lets hope this doesnt crash like skylab. it would be a shame, because the tehcnology has developed so much since then. it would be further proof that our government is consufed as hell though...
they are a lot more fun. they dont take the fun out of photographhy. part of photography is the entire experience. take the pictures. adjusting the f-stops and exposure times, smelling the bitter smell of developing chemicals, and being in the darkroom are what make photography what it is. dont get me wrong: i love the new technologies that are changing everyday, but some things dont need to change. like photograpy. to me, all the digital stuff totally ruins the entire expierence of taking your own pictures.
yeah, but at what cost is this storage space available? its prolly gotta be really damn expensive. still, i wouldnt mind the military to just -give- me one...:)
I have been dinking around with ShoutCast for a while (www.shoutcast.com and www.winamp.com) and it is possible, using SC and Winamp to broadcast live stuff through SC. What it does it it picks up from the mic, dumps that through the MP3 encoder, then serves it up to the public through the SC server. Well, that's my $0.02. Good luck!
Anybody remember how the Beastie Boys and RUN-DMC changed the face of rap music back in the 80's? Linux is like the Beasties, but it is changing the computer and opensource communities. Streamlined versions are already making their way into the home, (here I am thinking of the TiVo.) and into schools. (I run a Linux box at my school that provides email and web hosting for well over 200 students.) Things will change. Linux could (and hopefully will) take over Micro$oft. It has a promising future.
what happened to sequential version numbers? 4.7 is the latest netscape out right now, and they are saying the next one is gonna be 6? wierd.... oh well, i bet the browser's gonna kick some serious IE ass.

if you had a laptop with extremely sensitive information, wouldnt you make sure it never left your sight? how does one lose a laptop like this?
also, i wonder if there is going to be a reward or something for it...

what about that new brownish imac that does the digital videos? dogshit?
seems like a waste of money. i think any mp3 player with less than 64 megs is kind of a waste. maybe its just me.
