  1. Re:Talk about fiction on Scotty's Final Mission · · Score: 0

None of the reports I have read have stated that the rocket blew up or that the rocket/payload is "lost". Parts of the Falcon 1 are meant to be reused. It seems at this time there is the possibility of retrieving the ashes.

  2. Besides on Knights Templar Sue the Pope · · Score: 0

The the KT are not suing the pope. And if they decide to sue, it would be the Vatican. The current pope has no responsibility in this. Legally or ethically. The person who wrote this entry is spinning Catholic hate and doesnt seem to understand the issue or the Catholic church.

  3. Nonsense on Knights Templar Sue the Pope · · Score: 0

I am a Catholic and I admire the the Knights Templar. But this is retarded. There is no way to assess the value of damages and what an organization does within its own walls is its business. As for any rights issues, we can't apply principles and laws we have today to events that took place hundreds of years ago.

Otherwise I'd sue the Democcrat party for the policies of FDR!

  4. Flaw in this logic-by extension, concert tix sales on Study Suggests Music Industry Embrace Piracy · · Score: 0

"and, by extension, concert ticket sales" - The artist makes the bulk of the concert ticket sales, the record makes the the bulk of the album sales. There is no business interest for the recording interest to increase concert ticket sales.

  5. Democrats sure do... on House Dems Turn Out the Lights On the GOP · · Score: 0

  7. Online Porn is Gone forever on R.I.P Usenet: 1980-2008 · · Score: 0

Not. As the article says "as long as two computers". So this will push the porn people underground and the servers willbe harder to find. Unless the FBI can monitor rounters for the usenet protocol.

  8. Nonsense on Yale Students' Lawsuit Unmasks Anonymous Trolls · · Score: -1

Hateful remarks are opinion. You can't sue some one for opinion.

  9. I tell you whats not patriotic on IOC Admits Internet Censorship Deal With China · · Score: 0

"But yet somehow the mainstream media will ignore this because the Olympics are patriotic or something." This comment is full of contempt for patriotism. It insinuates that patriotism is something to be scoffed at. Frankly, I do think the author of this comment has an ounce of patriotism in their body, nor do they understand the concept - or what the Olympics are about.

  10. Re:Because they can on Software Price Gap Between the US and Europe · · Score: 0

its also because of laws, tariffs, additional development for a foreign society... Its not just profit as alot of you kids think.

  11. You people and your silly causes on FSF's "Defective By Design" Targets Apple Genius Bars · · Score: 0

What will harassing some low paid sales clerks/techs do? Besides keep people who need help from getting it? The truth is that if these groups were legitimate and had legitimate complaints, they wouldn't have to terrorize the people who are supposed to be suffering.

Additionally, if you find people who have time on their hands to do this nonsense, you found a bunch of people who are not contributing to society.

  12. Re:People are still buying DRMd music. on Yahoo! Music Going Dark, Taking Keys With It · · Score: 0

If all you brainacs would take a breath and stop whining for a minute - take a look at what failed here. It wasnt the DRM - it was Yahoo's business plan.

  13. What a load of BS on Yahoo! Music Going Dark, Taking Keys With It · · Score: 0

I buy DRMd music and haven't had 1 problem. Stop whining.

  14. since it makes no mention of the resurrection on World's Oldest Bible Going Online · · Score: 0

Well - um - thats because there is more than one bible. If you are referring to The Bible that is the Catholic bible which certainly does mention the resurrection.

Nice try at some Christian-hate, though.

  15. Hahaha - what a joke on SF Admin Gives Up Keys To Hijacked City Network · · Score: 0

  17. This is a little crazy on Pickens Plans On Wind Power · · Score: 0

    1. We only get half of our oil form OPEC. 2. OPEC is more than Middle Eastern countries 3. Most of the oil we get from OPEC/Middle Eastern countries is from countries that are friendly to the US. Wind is a great idea, but I guarantee either environmentalists or farmers will make this idea difficult to implement.

  18. Piracy is wrong, mmkay? on Free Games As a Solution To Game Piracy · · Score: 1

As one of the 10 people on Slashdot who speak out against piracy and this silly notion that you have a right to something just because you have access... [rate me as a troll, like you always do] ...I am annoyed by industries who cling to piracy as the major cause of their woes. There's a larger elephant in the room. Like quality or pricing.

  19. Lame on Doctors Turn To the Web For Disease Tracking · · Score: 0

People who talk about their aliments seem to be hypochondriacs.

  20. As a former resident of her district on Nancy Pelosi vs. the Internet · · Score: 0

All I can say sis that's so called liberal democrat openmindedness, tolerance and "choice" for you.

  21. No way on Avi Rubin Has Some Optimistic Words About E-Voting · · Score: 0

...Based on digital vote-machines so far, I'd say e-voting cannot be trusted. That is too great of a centralized influence on the process.

Also, considering how people tend to behave online, I'd say that the result of an e-vote would embody the negative aspects of society over anything else. People need to get out of the house and converse with other people - SEE other people, even if it is just the voting line. Dehumanizing the voting process is a huge mistake.

  22. How do you know it was you? on How to Fight Name Scraping Scammers? · · Score: 0

Was it just your first and last name, or was there a specific bit of information that indicated you and no one else. Sounds like paranoia to me.

  23. fiasco! on AT&T To Offer No-Contract iPhone · · Score: 0

AT&T has soured the milk. We thought we were getting a cheaper iPhone but the fed are too high. As a current iPhone user the financial incentive is to keep the current phone. Even this no-contract deal is more expensive than breaking a contract.
