It's not just that people wouldn't be able to buy used games for the Go, but that we won't be able to shop around. Oftentimes, you can save $5 to $20 or mpre on a brand new game if you look around. However, being locked into buying fron the PSN means thats you'll be buying at full retail price until Sony deems it appropriate to drop the price. Persona is $39.99 on the PSN and in retail stores IIRC. Should it cost that much for a digital copy, even though the RL copy comes with a soundtrack and booklet? I mean, I don't even like paying full retail price for my games or movies, so I'd hate to give up the ability to hunt for lower prices.
Ah, but the problem with this instance is that consumers aren't being warned that installing this new DLC will add, uh, ads to their game. I guess people know now and most are unwilling to upgrade.
I don't have the DLC so I can't confirm anything, but posters on Kotaku have reported that the ads appear even if you aren't connected online. And I don't believe the description of the DLC warns people about this.
Well, as far as graphical adventure series goes...I believe the DS is bringing the genre back. The recent incarnations of Phoenix Wright have proven to be very popular, with a new DS game on the way. Hotel Dusk, a film noir style detective story is also coming out soon. With the success that the DS is having, we might even see ports of some great Lucas Arts titles. Maybe.
You have to remember that this small list of games is Nintendo's way of testing the waters. They want to see if people are willing to purchase these games and if they're satisfied with the service. If plenty of people show their support by purchasing VC games, then more companies will jump on board and offer more games.
He was a charismatic, funny, and nutty sort of guy. Past the crocodile wrestling, he was an amazing conservationist, bringing attention to some of the plights that Australian wildlife are facing. I feel bad for his family, especially because of all the people that are going to make distasteful jokes about this...
I mean, how obscure is this? I still have the Castlevania book and one other I can't recall the name of. The Castlevania novel was a great read for me as a kid. I could almost imagine myself in the role of the boy starring in the book (even though I'm a girl...). Maybe I'll go dig up my old books and reread them sometime...
I don't think FF is similar at all to Madden. First, each and every FF has a completely different story from the last. They also have different forms of systems (e.g. X's ability to switch characters on the fly) and different ways to build your characters. Lastly, the art designs and graphical qualities of each game are different from the others. Each consecutive Madden, on the other hand, only improves on the graphics slightly (since each game is realeased about a year apart from the last). Also, they've been running out of ways to improve the game, introducing one or two new improvements over the last game (e.g. easier passing). So, other than the fact that they're both part of well-established series, I don't think they share very many similarities. ^^
Reading your goodbye message brought me close to crying...I'm such a little girl. :) Best hopes for your future! /. will never be the same without you.

Yeah, the Red Bull ads in a previous Wipeout game made sense, but State Farm Insurance? Are gamers a big demographic for them?

I thought that our satellite is known as the Moon. A lot of people erroneously refer to other satellites as "moons", but they aren't. Right...?
