You could always devote your time to programming open source software. Maybe get involved with sourceforge, or helping with bug patches, rather then programming for a company.
Software by nature is neither good software nor evil software (exception being M$ products). It is what you do with that software that makes it good or bad. There is no way they will win a case against Kazaa.
I have always been a huge Zelda fan, but I wasn't sure if I could justify purchasing the wii just for twilight princess. Now I'll have to rethink that decision.
Can Yahoo really catch up with Google? Perhaps they waited too long to do this. Right now they need to do their own thing and try to do something that Google isn't.
The main problem with programming is caused by the lack of education. A lot of schools are spending more time teaching a programming language (usually a higher level language like python or java) rather then teaching concepts of computer science. Of course the kid who has only programmed in java is gonna find concepts like pointers and such more difficult, making C++ seem much more difficult.
A very useful live-cd to carry around is knoppix-std because it contains a good collection of tools you never know when you will need. An even more useful live cd is the Gparted live disk. It contains just the bare minimum (an older version I had contained a shell, a text editor and gparted), but can be perfect for fixing a lot of different problems. Also, it never hurts to keep a dvd of an install disk, especially one like ubuntu 6.06 because the installer actually runs off the live disk, so it gives your full desktop environment.
I was so happy when I got out of highschool, mainly because the teachers there didn't want to teach, and the students didn't want to learn because they realized the teachers didn't want to teach. That and the fact that most of highschool is spent "reviewing". You learn one thing in a class, then it is beaten to death, then next year your teacher takes half the year reviewing that thing you learned last year, and then near the end rushes another thing for you to learn.
Its really cool that Sony is recognizing that people want to have a full OS on their gaming console, unlike M$ who locked their console down to prevent people from doing just that. This also allows people to justify spending more money for the ps3, as it can be used as a computer/gaming console.
Sounds like you need to hold more meetings to get everyone on the same page. You should make it so that at the meeting, each person gets a few minutes to talk about what they have done in the past week or time period since the last meeting and get to talk about what they will be working on during the next week. Also, use the first meeting to lay down some guidelines and talk of implementing some source control.
Actually, that is a good question. M$ might just weaken them till they are no longer a threat, then let them fall on their face, or they might make Novell a part of the M$ family. Either way, bad for Novell.
A deal with M$ is the kiss of death for any Linux distribution. Does Novell not realize that M$ is going to make a deal with them so M$ can destroy them?
According to you, the country doesn't need protection from terrorism. Tell that to the families of the victims of 9/11. Tell that to the victims in the UK, Spain and hundreds of other countries that are terrorized by terrorism.
haha. that is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Both parties supported the war, there is no denying that. The Democrats are just as guilty as the Republicans. Vietnam != Iraq. To think so just shows how truly ignorant and blind you are.
for what? Being a good leader? Being a strong leader? I would love to see you do better. He is protecting your ass and thats the thanks you give him. If you don't like things, either 1) do something 2) move to Canada.

Google finally begins to question the decision to buy youtube.
Actually, is this problem even a concern to google? Wouldn't it be the responsibility of Viacom to contact the users who are uploading Viacom videos?
True. But also controls can make a difference between an intuitive game and a terrible game.
Yeah, my decision also relies on the reviews of the gamecube version. But I have a feeling that it's not going to be as good as the wii version.

Just wait til they have commercials featuring a crying Native American in a spacesuit urging people not to liter in space.
obvious M$ mentality. . .why destroy only one when you can destroy all of them?

This means that Java would be able to be included in linux distos by default, rather then requiring the user to set them up.

How long till they make WGA for xbox to check the validity of your games?
Because someone needs to stay at home and defend the country from people like you.
How can one constructivly add to a debate that is so strongly biased that any comment expressing discource is modded into oblivion?
