Good point, and more than that, can anyone give me one example where a software developer allowed external companies to do the patching of their software for them, that wasn't merely a subcontractor of said developer? I personally don't see the big deal, whether Microsoft does it or [insert any company here] does it, so long as my computer can run that's all that matters (to me AND to the 95% of everyone else out there that are merely basic computer users).

I can't wait for Vista. It makes me laugh to see everyone complaining about security in software that's still in Beta. And for all those complainers, how many will own at least one piece of equipment running Vista in 5 years? My bet would be well over 50%... (look at XP's number's now!)

I wanna see a program (I can't imagine it'd be in anything but Flash, at least given today's technology) that actually grabs words and basic content material from a video, and auto-tags it. Until then, a "video search engine" is really only a "video tag search engine."

Though, why not? I'm not saying to purchase the system exclusively for this functionality, that would be a waste of money, though I must say that this feature is the first for the system that is pushing me towards wanting one. I try to run @home utils on my PC any time I can. Unfortunately, with the world today you can no longer run them at work. Note: I'm aware SETI@home is different than FAH, but the concept that was scrutinized is identical. This leaves home computers to run the programs. My poor 1.7gHz computer can barely push out a unit a week, and though I'm sure every little bit helps, I'm excited that the PS3 kiddies will be contributing to a constructive cause whether they want to or not.
