    Lab grown meat is probably in our future, but I have seen these insect eating predictions a few times before since the middle of the last century and somehow we are still producing enough proper food for everybody. OK, except India and north east Africa. They still don't produce enough food for everybody and probably never will, since they refuse to reduce their populations to sustainable levels. Well, I suppose their populations are at sustainable levels, just not the kind of sustainable that the rest of us would consider sustainable...

    Long ago, towards the end of the last century, desktop computers were BYOD and Visicalc was the killer app. That was the extinction event of the dinosaurs. Now, with new smaller BYODs, the desktop computer is precariously balanced on the edge of its extinction event.

    Actually, if it is 6 or more machines, Dell doesn't even charge for doing that. You just give Dell a preloaded HDD and they use that to image all the machines on your order.

    All that will do is cause the patent trolls to create a number company with no assets for each lawsuit. So when costs are awarded, they will be bust and the victim will still be burdened with all the costs.

    You may be onto something. Since MS doesn't grow, the only way to make money from its stock is to buy when they release a duff OS version (ME, Vista) and sell when they release the next working version (XP, 7).

    It is easy to make Windows 7 crash. Just run Microsoft's Skype. It crashes the whole computer hard about once every two weeks.
