    And I wish people would not tell parents what is and isn't important to teach.

    Is the world a more peaceful place now that we are banning religion in every public place?

    Does the current or next generation still believe life is sacred? Why would they if they don't believe in a Creator that chose us and made us distinct and special? How is our value any different than the trees or the animals without this?

    And the sad thing is that most don't think human life has a greater value anymore.

    I have done a horrible job as a parent in teaching religious values. It sunk in for me when watching a movie. The characters were deciding whether to use a dog as a distraction to escape versus another person. I asked her what she would do. She told me that she would send the person since dogs are funer and cuter than most people. (In retrospect, I should have played Cujo afterwards.)

    We cannot survive as a socioty by only following man's laws. Man's laws are easily broken when the Man is not watching.

    But why hate?

    I am not saying that feelings should be against the law, but if you don't believe, why do you care enough to hate?

    I dislike the godless world that we are becoming, but I am not about to hate you for it.

    It goes back to the old hate the sin and not the sinner. It may not seem like it, but there is a difference.

    BTW any Christian that takes advantage of such law seems a traitor of the word and example of Jesus IMO.

    Why seperate the Christians? Is that the only religion in your mind that stands for freedom of speech?

    Or did you just see this as an excuse to critize Chritians as being hypocrites?

    The summary said that this was brought to the UN by the Organization for the Islamic Conference. Are you saying that we should expect this from them?

    Then why does windows 7 keep warning me about not runnung a antivirus?

    I don't have any antivirus programs running on linux and have no problems.

    I wonder why the system that is hardest to exploit keeps bugging me about this.

    I would rather pay for book than download it.

    It doesn't feel the same to read from a computer versus reading in bed, bathroom, or outside.

    I am surprised if what you say is true about downloads effecting sales of books.

    I understand the internet kill paper press (it is always a least a day behind real time) but (good) books are timeless.

    I thought the "You know it doesn't like that name." was a nice touch and opened it up quite a bit more than just "God did it".

    But that didn't make sense for them since those two mentioned God's plan more than anyone else in the show

    The networks seem to think the masses need a healthy serving of God with their spaceships and time travel or else they might change the channel.

    I wouldn't mind the spiritual side but they make it so utterly washed down and generic that it just annoys.

    Network's treatment of religion in these shows are pathetic enough that it annoys both those who believe in God and those who don't.

    1. Less talk and more subtlety. This means very little or no explicit dialog, no in-your-face pictures of dancing robots

    The extreme spoon feeding of the plot was annoying and insulting. It was also beneath the show.

    When Starbuck was dialing the jump address, we really did not need all the flashes. I would have been fine with one flash to remind some where the music notes came from, but not a minutes worth.

    Also, the Boomer flashback was even more unnecessary.

    The last two episodes wasted two much time on flashbacks.

    Character development was never a strong point in BG and to have that be the focus on the last episodes was a waste.

    On the plus side, at least the president died.

    Isn't the point of the M rating that kids don't buy these titles anyways?

    This is just a repetitive law. Just like the hate crime laws passed to make hate crimes murder more illegal than regular murder. Or added laws about selling and distributing alcohol / tobacco to minors.

    It's funny you mention Nvidia since the open source version of the NFORCE drivers were so good that Nvidia tells people to use the in-kernel drivers.

    Then why the layoffs?

    I really think that many companies are taking advantage of the economy and using it as an excuse to lay off employees without having to take any blame or responsibility.

    I am not singling Microsoft out, either. I have seen many companies making great profits laying off (or right-sizing) people and pointing to the economy.

    You really should due some research before installing your servers.

    For the past months, the safest bet was just to install from testing due to the free. It's been pretty solid and you save yourself the large upgrade.

    How did you find that but miss almost every review and slashdot article/post of KDE 4.0 that came out at the time?
