    The democrat leaders (Reid, Poliski, etc) have accused the republicans of poisoning the air, stealing social security from grandmas, wanting the poor to starve, starting a "war on women", etc.

    You are not understanding that not all seats were ups for vote. That 20 million number is not as relevant as you think it is.

    I could have 100% people vote for party "Jackie" for 2014 in California. This would not allow me to win in Texas if no seats were open during this election period.

    Also, not all votes are equal.

    Each state has 2 senators. If Rhode Island voted 100% Republican and California voted 100% Democrat, you could say that Democrats carried more than twice the number of votes than republicans but only received half the seats. While factually true, it is misleading.

    In addition, you are holding on to old shit that should have been corrected by now.

    I can say that Clinton and the democrats gave us the DMCA but that doesn't excuse Bush or Obama or the congresses during their times for keeping it.

    In fact, Bush was fairly transparent about where he stood on the NSA. Obama and the of liberals flat out lie on it and you give them cover when you keep going back so far (when 6 out of 10 of those years had a Democrat president.)

    And being cute with caps doesn't help your case. It just looks juvenile. I'm sure you also type Faux News feeling clever.

    All but 1 democrat voted for the increase power granted by the Patriot Act and the only reason any of it expires and requires renewal is because a Texas Republican added sunsets to the bill

    In this case, it's not even about people being stupid.

    This group overloaded servers - there was no security breach.

    If I was a consumer, would I blame
      A) The group of people that on purpose overloaded the servers
      B) The company for not having invested in more servers that are only used because assholes are deliberately trying to overload their servers and ruin my day (and who would cover the cost of the additional - usually unneeded - servers)

    I haven't used the PS4 but this was a problem for the PS3 as well (in addition to the fact that their update server seemed to run at dial up speeds)

    That's the problem. They don't really care if you play. The game is only a pretext for you to spend more money. If you have no way to spend money, the game does not matter to them.

    And farmers don't really care if we eat. The food is just a pretext to get me to spend money. (I know the analogy can be destroyed fairly quickly but honestly what for-profit company doesn't make their product to get money?)

    Very true. And very limited to Americans. That is why these movies do so poorly oversees....

    I think the sad truth is that that movies are now made to appeal to the broadest base (and nowadays this includes the people in Europe and Asia as well as the Americas) there is many issues "safe" to tackle.

    I started back up at the end of season 2 / beginning of season 3 on netflix. It was pretty good. I have no desire to watch season 1 or 2 to see what I missed, though.

    No one will think of Wrath of Khan or First Contact when they hear the word "shit". These two were the best Trek movies period.

    I hate what they did with the Borg. They went from a terrifying, leaderless race of aliens with a goal of self improvement to a queen with a bunch of mindless zombies (drones) with a goal of absolute power.
