  1. Hidden feature on Apple Tries To Gag Owner of Exploding iPod · · Score: 0

Fanbois rejoice ! This ain't accident, its a hidden feature. Ipods do that if they find pirated songs on 'emselves OR (next iPods with more "firepower") if your found anywhere near a windows computer (in which case, appl says "you shall not live")

@ "And for fuck's sake, if you're going to criticize something, use it first" I've used it its crap ! (btw, i do lot of "creative stuff" on computers that are not apple ;)) you just can't compare Linux to these "Rip-Off" machines. apples are for dumb people who see value in "look-n-feel" I say dumb because, in a MAC "everything just works", its intuitive bla bla bla so it does all the thinking for you, so you don't use ur brains, so you become more dumb and eventually buy an iPhone :)

  7. Re:Warranty? on Seagate to Offer Solid State Drives in 2008 · · Score: 1

numbers aside, what's the warranty on the "drive" ? The warranty period is what companies think is the "least" performance duration. So no need to worry for a year or two ;)

Go back to school and learn the basics ..... you just can't compare x86 CPUs with ARM. They're entirely different designs for different purposes for a start x86 is CISC and ARM are RISC ... and ...CISC = more transistors enough said ?

5-8% ? you got to be joking ! If "battery replacement" was so rare, why would ALL mobile phone companies (and many others) produce one (i.e.spare batteries) ?? What people are griping about is the appalling greediness & monopolistic traits of companies like Apple. Replacing battery/sim has always been a very basic feature/option/function of all cellphones and gives the user more control over his/her device. Apple is over-confident to predict/induce a change in this trend with an utterly overpriced product ! Its bound to fail ...

I was looking for the typical new.gif for my company's Intranet webiste, tried searching on both Google & Live.

Try it out for yourselves, search for new.gif in Google Image search Vs Live Image search.
What you realise instantaneously is that microsoft's search operates in an entirely different dimension (and wrong context(s)) !
No wonder google has the lead.

  17. Re:But I like click fraud! on Google's Click-Fraud Crackdown · · Score: 1

The whole concept of "click-fraud" is vague. Eventually "cost-per-action" is gonna translate into web users being forced to "DO some ACTION" on the adverts. I think greedy corporates should come up with newspaper & TV versions of "click-fraud", they could call it "read-fraud" or "view-fraud", in which their complain would be readers/viewers "just reading/viewing" their ads and not actually buying their stuff !
