I'm no hospital worker, but I just voluntarily received my first flu shot. My arm was sore the next day. That was the only side effect. (This was a little over a week ago).
A game the gets you in shape was invented years ago: Dance Dance Revolution (DDR). I ran cross country during the same time frame that I played that game, and running 7 miles didn't wear me out as much as an hour on expert mode.
They sell it as a kit. And I wouldn't pay (or trust) anyone else to take the rims off my bike. And I do know a local shop that will powdercoat rims for $50 each.
Honda sells a special edition motorcycle (CBR1000RR Repsol edition) for $1000 more than the original, even though the only difference is the color of the plastics and rims. You can buy the plastics from Honda separately for $500, and pay a local shop $100 to paint the rims.
GM isn't the only one who charges more for a special edition when it can be had for cheaper some other way.
I liked Vista just fine. The basic version came installed on my laptop. But I wanted Windows Media Center to connect to my Xbox, so I downloaded the RC of 7. And honestly, the only difference I've noticed is the ability to change the background at time intervals.
I didn't think Vista was bad (way more stable than XP on my desktop), and I don't think 7 is anything impressive. What am I missing?
My non-existent medical knowledge tells me there's a long wait for organ transplants. I wonder if Steve received accelerated care thanks to his status.
I use Windows. The reason being that I don't want to spend my time learning how to use an OS; I just want it to work. My version of Vista has yet to crash and I have no complaints.
The law is being introduced, it hasn't passed. I doubt it will, so it was probably created solely so a congressman/woman could say they introduced a bill to protect your privacy.
I've watched every day of the Olympics so far on NBC's broadcast, and at one point I remember the announcers saying the minimum age was 16 to compete. However, when one of the Chinese gymnasts went up to perform an event, under her name and country, they put up "Age: 15." I don't remember the gymnast or the event, just that it confused me.
"...a 'closed' section for users under age 18 so only their established online friends can visit their pages."
The difference between 'closed' and the already-existing 'private' function is...?
True enough. However, this is the only issue I've heard of him being involved in that I care about. Being that 100% of what I know about him is him supporting something I oppose, that's enough reason to vote for anyone but him.
Odds are he'll stay in office, but it won't stop me from voting for someone else.

I don't know if I'm the only one who's absolutely amazed by this.
With Wal Mart prices are LOWER. Maybe not for companies, but as a consumer Wal Mart's monopoly is a good thing for me.
And humans still have tailbones.

Gravel roads are fine if you have 4 wheels, but if you're on two wheels (specifically a sport bike or sport tourer), they can be extremely hazardous.
It might help if we didn't call it "ripping."
Does no one learn from the movies?!
I deleted my Facebook account over this. I gave 24 hour notice to the people on my friends list and that was it.
It works for what I need, which is essentially music, Firefox, and Word.

Addendum: Not too many cars today that are readily available in the US get better than 34mpg.
My '93 Corolla gets 34mpg. Not too many cars made today get better than that.
Punish teenagers for what they did when they were young and stupid, and make it so they can never redeem themselves? Great life lesson there.

My representative co-sponsored that bill. Next election, I'm voting him out.
1380? I scored that, and I'm terrible at math. I always thought MIT was way out of my league, but I guess not.
Slashdot should never say something was done "quietly". Once it's been on Slashdot, the quietness ends.
