I haven't had any problems with it, but I also haven't tested the backups much. I know I've seen it get updated in Ubuntu more recently than four years ago, though. The lack of frequent updates are probably more because of how simple it is. There might be some more advanced features that it doesn't have.
If 30 minutes is near enough to real time for you, you could use rdiff-backup on a cron job. That's what I do at home, though I only run it once per day.
My mostly uninformed guess as to why the people involved would be required to call it "part 2 of season 5" has to do with the contracts of the actors or production crew.
It wasn't so much that there were some frogs around. It was the fact that they were everywhere. It might be nice to watch them on your front lawn, but do you want them in your bed and your water jugs?
2. The "editors" probably chose this submission for the sole reason that it says "MoFo"... I have heard that Beavis & Butthead is back on the air so I guess the Slashdot editors are trying to get back to that level of discourse.
You can't exactly blame the editors for that one. The firm's domain is mofo.com, and their about page is titled "About MoFo". The firm fully embraces the name.
Meanwhile, no one has a problem with the National Football League being considered "non-profit" by IRS standards
What does the NFL as an organization make for profit? Each individual team is owned by someone (or a group) that pays taxes on their team's profit (in theory, at least). The NFL itself, though, doesn't have an owner or shareholders. Of course you can argue about how much the top-level executives get paid, but they should be paying taxes on their salaries just like any other full-time employee of a non-profit.
Are you seriously arguing we should have stayed out of those wars? It wouldn't have mattered which party was in the white house. They are called WORLD wars for a reason.
World War 2 in particular, since the United States didn't formally enter the war until a direct attack on United States territory by Japan. In fact, many people would argue that the United States should have entered the war in Europe much sooner.
I would guess that most actual socialists who wanted actual universal health care are, like me, really disappointed with ACA. Far-right Republicans like to slam ACA as being "socialized medicine" when it's really just a massive handout to private insurance companies.
I am still amused by people that complain that ACA will suddenly put their health care decisions in the hands of bureaucrats. Apparently they don't understand how it works now.
I remember reading an op/ed piece fairly recently, I think during the 2012 campaigns, about how the NRA has almost completely abandoned representing hunters. Of course hunters need to be able to own hunting rifles and ammunition. They also need animals to hunt, though, and most of them prefer to hunt in nice forests. Both of those are environmentalist issues, though, which the generally ultra-conservative members/leaders of the NRA tend to oppose.
That's true, but I think that's supposed to be more about contamination that's impossible to know about or realistically avoid. I would think that something purposefully derived from a pig, even if it only contains a few cells worth of matter that was ever part of the pig, would be considered not kosher.
I'm not a rabbi either, but I know quite a few, and now I'm really curious to hear what they think.
Which part are you questioning, that lab-grown beef is kosher, or that lab-grown pork is not kosher? I can pretty much guarantee that lab-grown pork would be considered not kosher if it came from stem cells.
The lab-grown beef part might be more interesting. As far as I know, any food derived from a kosher animal is kosher as long as none of the other laws are violated. Since the lab-grown beef is derived from the stem cells of a cow, it would be considered to be part of the cow. There might be other laws to consider, though. If the stem cells were taken from the blood, for example, that might be a reason for it to be considered not kosher.
Thanks for pointing that out. Nobody else would have known about that earlier story if you hadn't said something. Well, except for anyone that checked the links in the story (hint: it's the underlined "science").
It would depend on the source of all of the ingredients (or raw materials, as the case may be). It looks like this cultured beef is made from stem cells from a cow, so it would still be considered a cow product. Similarly, pork that's made in a lab from pig stem cells would still be not kosher.
I think anything you try to do to my computer via the internet should be legal. It is my responsibility to ensure that the software on my computer is secure.
I think breaking into my house and tampering with my computer should be illegal.
Then why would it be illegal to break into your house? Shouldn't it be your responsibility to make sure that your locks, doors, windows, and walls are all impervious to any kind of attack?
his excuse is that he typoed facebook as fuckbook.
Well, they are only two letters apart. Letters that are nearly at the opposite side of the keyboard from the letters he wanted, but still only two letters.
Or you could teach them to read the numbers on the side of the bus
if these were regular kids, you'd have a point. But these are college students. It's not fair to expect people like that to master such sophisticated mental tasks.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to read the numbers, never mind remembering which one is the one you should get on, when you're drunk on cheap beer?

Gnome is much better, it was always intuitive and the closest thing to a Windows GUI.
Gnome is basically a copy of OSX these days. KDE is much more similar to Windows.

No, it was also a desktop when docked. Tell me again which other phone does that?
Motorola has quite a few phones that do. It's based on Ubuntu.
