I just happened onto Debian for my first and only flavor, just to get a feel for the install, config and use (I had used gentoo in college programming lab). I was initially drawn by the package system and I gotta say I liked it. Once you get a feel for the basic commands and control schemes it's pretty easy. I commend the whole (even while poking obligatory fun at HP, which has turned into a heaping pile of mediocre hardware and abysmal software)

With $500 gaming rigs and cable for $50/month it would be a hard sell to bring gamers out of the comfort of their own homes. I think the best way, as some others have said, would be to offer as many services as possible. And do it with style and panache. Get a decorator, make the space comfortable and cool to look at. Offer coffee(good coffee), pizza, tourneys, shit maybe even rent a booth to a tattoo artist. Maybe double as a music venue at night. I just think you'll need more than 5 beige PC's and a router.

I'm still waiting for a viable 64-bit OS fer cryin' out loud, and don't get me started on SLI...

I am going to purchase a single-core AMD 64 San Diego core for $139 bucks and I'm going to be just fine for the next 2 years minimum. I keep my gaming system in tip-top shape, so I don't need an extra CPU core to process all the spyware running in the background.
