    My old MacBook Pro runs at reduced power/speed when the battery is removed. It was not designed to run off the power from a socket alone. Parent isn't necessarily giving good advice.

    You can still use the products you spent all that time and money learning. Nobody is taking away your current version of Adobe software. You didn't have anything taken from you.

    Anyone worried about this can save their files in one of a dozen or so different standardized file formats, like tiff files.

    "Eliminating a pirate doesn't mean you are transforming him into a customer. It almost never happen." They are helping their paying customers, by making it harder for shops running illegal software to compete with those of us that pay. Eventually CS6 will be obsolete, and I'll be running the latest versions, with capabilities pirates won't have. Right now I'm on a level playing field with the pirates, and they can offer services for less because they aren't paying for their tools.

    There is no warehouse storing valuable computer parts that isn't somewhat heated. Below 50 degrees F the sticker labeling on the box starts to peel off. Nobody is storing computer parts at -20. Do you know how brittle circuit boards get at those temperatures? Your anecdote about your 4 laptops in your car for the past month is very amusing, especially since you're offering it as proof to counter the parents very valid and documented claims.

    You are spreading FUD. If your other graphics program can export a TIFF file at the right size & resolution, and the quality of your artwork is up to standards, it doesn't matter what program you used. If your art is the quality needed for the job, you'll never get in trouble for your methods to create it.

    It's now going to be $10 a month for just Photoshop (or just Illustrator). As a life-long PS user who started off using a pirated copy when I was a kid who now uses it professionally, I would have paid $10 a month to explore my hobby/passion. I spent way more than that on those old build-a-radio kits from Radio Shack. Or pencils for drawing.

    It's not all about features. There have been many improvements that make the program run faster. Photoshop CS6 on my dual quad-core PC is a lot faster than Photoshop CS5 was on the same PC. When you can process documents and apply effects at a much greater speed, who cares about some new feature that lets you remove camera shake? The main feature of new Adobe software is speed.

    I got mine today, and this was one of the first things I tried. My bars do not move at all, no matter how I hold the phone. In the line at the AT&T store they were explaining the issue, and where to not hold it to avoid the problem. But on my unit I have no bar loss.

    Perfect Browser also has the option to lock the screen in landscape/portrait view, which is awesome and something all apps should have.

    Apple did not gain their popularity with the iPod by anti-competitive practices and stifling innovation by buying up all the competitors like MS did with their OS'. For me that is the big difference. Apple got the lock down on MP3 players because we like theirs the best.

    iTunes does not make Apple much money. Not like their ipod's and iphone's do. If you think Apple will be OK with a pre connecting to itunes because they'll sell some more music I think you'll be wrong. The software integration is a huge part of ipod success.

    The difference is the amount of jobs you're supporting here with domestic vs. foreign. With Toyota you're supporting a few thousand schlubs being paid a decent wage to work in a factory. With the domestic you're supporting not just the people who build the cars but also the parts. Toyota and Honda don't build their parts here, they ship them from oversea's. The manufacturing base that is built up around these domestic guys is what is most valuable to us as a country. Those are the guys most of us know, not the ones who work at corporate hq or even the factory these days.

    Satellite radio antenna's SUCK. They are ugly, and they ruin the lines of your car. One of the greatest inventions of modern times is cars without antenna's sticking out of them. For those of us who really love our cars looks, that antenna is a deal breaker. Lots of cars these days don't even have an option to remove them, since they drilled holes in the roof.

    I remember one time during my first play through of HL where I was walking down a hallway and suddenly a monster throws a guy through the wall, right in front of me. That kind of stuff had never been done in a non-cutscene before, and it was both impressive and awesome at the same time.

    HL was full of that kind of stuff in a time when no other game had anything like it.

    Witchblade was a very cool show for the short time it was on. The star (Yancy Butler) had issues that kept interfering. I believe at one point she disappeared for a while and noone could find her. I had never read the comic, but the show was very interesting and well done.
