I agree with your blog. I've grown up with video games all my life. They haven't driven me to violence, it was the bullies in school that driven me to violence. The only time I have used violence was to defend myself, never to intentionally harm someone.
Jack Thompson would be made a hero if he would drop the whole video game issue and took up the Bully issue in our schools today. (not the game, real bullies).
In my opinion "boys will be boys" as an excuse for bullies should never be aloud because those "boys" know what they were doing and why.
I worked as a tech support agent for a US Cable highspeed provider (not comcast), and each and everytime I got a call from a customer on either our VoIP solution or Vonage the call quality was completely garbage unless they were the only one in their area that even knew what the internet was. Out of all the calls I recieved from VoIP customers 2 or 3 of those calls werent dropped and sounded half decent.
Also alot of Vonage customers didnt know if they had digital phone service. Most would assume I was asking if theyre physical phone was digital. This resulted in alot of dropped calls when working through a connection issue (9 out of 10 times it was the vonage "router" that screwed up the connections).
Captain Americas Shield did at least 450-500 Damage, dazing and jumped to nearby enemies, and hits at least 6 targets.. So Marvel won't be too pissed about it.

On the first pc I built one of the best ways to keep it in line in its last few weeks with me was to randomly yell and smack the pc, it didnt know when it would happen so it didnt risk crapping out on me:P
Nah, Ive never had to rely on any voodoo to keep my pc running.. but to eliminate some annoying buzzing sounds from fans nothing beats a swift smack on the top left corner of the case.
I had a roommate that smacked his pc cause it wasnt working the way he wanted it to.. but it was working perfectly fine (no hardware or software issues - all user issues).. I told him I'd have to start a support group for his electronics (he hit everything) if he kept it up. Electronic Victims of **** still lives to this day (name censored so he doesnt come after me:P)
I grew up being the victim of bullies.. teachers, principals, guidance counsellors and psyciatrists all told me to..
1) count to 10 - dont lose your cool
Always ended up in 10 more seconds of teasing and bullying 2) Walk away
Last I checked, bullys have legs too 3) Ignore them
Bullys find that to be more of a reason to tease/bully 4) Ask an adult/teacher for help
When I ask for help Im always told that hes not doing anything wrong and that I should be able to do the above 3 things to get rid of them
So unfortunately I ended up having to defend myself any way I could and the most effective being me beating the living snot out of them. Of course this solution always ended the same way at school. The bully would get a slap on the wrist and be sent back to class ( if not bloodied up ) or sent home to be cleaned up and recover a little, and me being suspended/expelled from school because nothing the adults taught me worked.
I learned at a young age from adults.. not video games (I do play violent games.. depending on how violent you consider Oblivion and most RPGs are, but they are in no way responcible for why I am and hopefully was violent)... that violence was one way to solve a problem and im still trying to get it out of my system. I know I shouldnt resort to it to fix a problem but 90% of the time its the only solution when everyone that tells you to ask for help doesnt help when you ask for it.

Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents.
