Seriously.......How much environmental impact does the entire manufacturing process of building tablets create? At least the paper industry is good at replacing the trees it uses.
....that such a well planned and comprehensive peice of legislation would have loopholes. It's almost as if they rushed it through the legislative process, but I'm sure our politicians would never be so careless....
Tom's Hardware post a regular guide to the best CPU & GPU at various price points....
Decide how much you want to spend on each component and see what is recommended.

Realistically any CPU/GPU combination from the last year or two shouldn't have a problem meeting your requirements, as most GPUs now decode 1080 video in hardware, and Oblivion shouldn't prove too taxing unless you are trying to run in very high resolutions. It will just depend what your budget is and how future proof you want it to be.
I can't imagine the various broadcasters around the globe that licence the Premier League from Sky being too happy with them allowing the deal with Microsoft to expand globally...Would have thought there would some fairly detailed contract terms around certain broadcasters having exclusivity on the Premier League rights in their country.
I see it at work when people switch from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and spend weeks figuring out where the hell all the commands have gone....
Installed Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix on our Samsung NC10 and put it in front of my girlfriend....First comment was "Where is the E (Internet Explorer)".....second comment was "Where is MSN Messenger".....Tried to convince her to persevere with it, but she wasn't interested.... Rebooted into XP and her face lit up when the blue login screen appeared....
My Dad just sent back a HP Pavilion 9300 laptop, which uses the 7xxx series mobile nvidia GPUs....the graphics chip had failed after just over a year, but HP have extended the warranties on this issue so they repaired free of charge.
Laptop came back with new system board, new bios etc...Machine lasted 3 days before graphics corruption set in again, and then the chip failed again later that day...
The GB team have a 14 year old competing in the mens diving competition.....I would have thought there would be similar issues for that sport as it involves similar skills
I really don't like flying Ryanair, but you have to admire what they do....They've managed to find ways to charge you extra at as many points in your journey as possible...
A friend of my girlfriend just got back from a trip to Spain with Ryanair, and claims she was charged for eating her own food on the plane....Well the flight attendant described it as a charge for disposing of rubbish that wasn't theirs - I think it was about 2 Euros....so its a great way of discouraging people from bringing their own food on board. They also don't have seat pockets on their planes so you can't leave rubbish behind which speeds up the cleaning/turnaround.
I remember hearing Ryanair's reaction when they announced that mobile phones were going to be allowed on European flights....You could see the Euro signs flashing before their eyes.... I could think of nothing worse than being stuck on a Ryanair flight with everyone around you using their phones!!
At least they are upfront about trying to fleece you of all your money - Most companies try to do it without you knowing....
On physical product I can sort of understand the price differences.....although there is certainly an element of charging what the market will bear...
In addition to the VAT, there is also the fact that European retailers generally want a lot more margin than US retailers...Best Buy might be happy with 10-15% margin, but DSGi (Dixons group) will probably want something nearer 25-30%.
It also generally costs more to do business in Europe as there are many more retailers, warranty periods are longer, logistics etc....
Perhaps Adobe are pricing their product in line with what it sells for on-shelf in each market, so they don't upset their retail customers...Would be interesting to know what proportion of their sales still comes from retail store purchases.
I think System Shock (1&2) is a the best example of how to scare someone without having to resort to lots of dark areas with things jumping out at you...
Sorry, but your unwillingness to agree with MADD's position, even in light of your real life experiences, disqualifies your opinion...
In addition, the fact that you have actually played the game means you are no longer qualified to be able to comment on its suitability as a form of entertainment.
Of course it could also be an attempt to get more people to switch to their service....
"Sign up to our Broadband....we are the only ISP that won't cut off your internet connection if you file share" (Gov't legislation permitting)
Interesting point he raised during the actual radio interview was criticizing the music industry for not adapting their business model to digital technologies...

Pay for any other brand, not for Sony.....
...these laser are small enough to be mounted on a shark.....

So this is how they are planning on introducing multitasking!
Learn something?......This is still Sony we are talking about isn't it?

What happens when half your staff set the resolution to 800x600?
Surely Paul McCartney needs the continued royalties from the Beatles music so he can continue to finance large divorce settlements!
Ask Tom Selleck!
Based on how many copies of the previous "Sims" games have been sold I'm not sure the target audience is restricted to twelve year olds.....
I know....I don't understand its popularity either....

You could just get away with:
"UK Gov. Clueless"
We should test it on Jean Claude van Damne and Dolph Lungren

...until Microsoft puts in an offer?
1. Take existing product design
2. Remove on-board hardware to save cost
3. Create software equivalent in Windows
4. ??????
5. Profit!!!

Some would call that "survival of the fittest"....If mother nature had created industry this would probably be the norm...
