    A howto + files for Windows 2000

    Free (as in beer) software with no howto for Windows 2000, 2003, and XP

    Okay, no one is calling him a hero. But look at the sentence he was handed. For "stealing" thousands of dollars' worth of software that was later released as FREE as in source? Oh, yeah... You have to charge someone with a crime within DAYS, not YEARS. And about this whole "Kevin is such an evil guy" reading other people's data... He checked out Shimmy's data and Shimmy got mad but what the FUCK was Shimmy doing? Developing packet analysis tools for the US Government to read data without authorization! The irony of a man who is an enemy of the people trying to act like a hero for tracking down Mitnick... Let's not forget John Markoff falsely claiming in the NYT that Mitnick broke into NORAD... Give me a fucking break, it's not about Kevin being a hero, it's about how being a bit inquisitive gets you a disproportionate amount of jail time, under circumstances where the guy who busted you is MORE morally culpable than you, and the authorities keep you until they can properly invent what to charge you with.
