  1. Re:Same as always on Cameras Help Cops Catch a Killer · · Score: 0

Yes, Ben was brilliant. You...not so much.

Temporary security? The cameras have a magical "stop working" date? One would assume such security would not only be permanent, but upgradeable as well.

Essential liberties? Which, may I ask? Privacy whilst walking down a *public* street? Sorry, no such privacy was ever granted, guaranteed, or should even be assumed.

Sure, you would *like* to not be taped walking to the local porno outlet. But just because you want it doesn't make it your "right".

Why are people so damned entitled nowadays? Everything they want they actually claim they have a "right" to...regardless of whether or not any such right was ever granted. When did people lose their critical thinking / ability to apply logic?

    Absolutely unbelievable.

They were able to convince our legislators to shut down a bill that had unanimous support because it would not allow the MPAA to spy on us?

Since when do the MPAA = NSA, and downloaders = foreign nationals? This should not be legal at *all*...by any organization, agency, corporation, or otherwise.

    Regardless of the children.

    Regardless of the Pirates.

Damn the MPAA's Bottom Line. They're solvency and business model should not be propped up by legislation. Companies and such should only survive because they adapt and fit the needs of the market...not because they have the power to adapt and change the laws of nations.

Special Interest Groups power in this country in general is beyond reason. It's absurd to even imagine the things they have accomplished, and damned frightening when faced with the truth of their power.

No. Of course not. Do they have to? No.

I bet these same users, were firefox not to exist, would say, "Gee, I wish I could do such and such in IE or Opera". Only difference is, the response would be, "Yeah, me too." instead of a link to the extension that provides the functionality desired.

IMO, this makes FF better. If it isn't there, it can be done.

If it's not there in IE or Opera? In most cases, Tough shit, you're SOL.
