Maybe it is for Windows 95 and Windows 98 First Edition, but it certainly isn't for Windows 98 Second Edition. That last one is a kind of blue instead of a kind of green.
Of course E3 was bad. It's no secret that since last year E3 is just aimed at the press and investors. Worthwhile announcements have been moved to other events like Tokyo Game Show.
wasted loads of money making Shenmue II (and then didn't even release it on the Dreamcast in the US)
Do you know why they didn't release it in the US and why the European version didn't have English voice acting? Microsoft gave money to Sega, saying "Don't release this game for the Dreamcast in the US; release it for our XBox. Also, we'll pay for the English voice acting.". The rest is history.
Metroid prime 3 had quite a few puzzles and that's an FPS (although some who drink too much nintendo koolaid inist it's it's own "FPA" genre.)
Categorising Metroid Prime as an FPS is ignoring a lot of aspects that make the game great. An FPS is about shooting. Is Metroid about shooting? Not really.
My brother's laptop came with 1 GB of RAM, and he had about the same experience. A week later we installed WinXP Pro on it and it's been flying ever since.
That'd be great if proxies didn't exist. A half year ago I was called in by a friend to help with a troll. He kept using proxies to come back and generate thousands of user accounts.
We considered banning all proxies, but since the board was hosted on a free service, and the service didn't want to do it, we were screwed. Never mind that there are legitimate uses for proxies.
He stopped after about a month, but hell if it wasn't frustrating to deal with.
A couple years ago, E3 was downsized. It's no longer that important anymore. E3 is now basically a little press event, where Nintendo will mostly show and announce casual gaming stuff. The 'real stuff' will be at Tokyo Games Show and other similar shows.
Also, hardcore gamers haven't decided the fate of the console wars anymore since the days of the PSX.
How is it since Windows XP? Do you mean it hides all extensions? Because hiding known extensions is a feature that has existed since at least Windows 95, turned on by default.
Yes. The real problem with people with Asperger's is that they have difficulty seeing the bigger picture. They focus on details. So this lad was thinking making this program would prove his skills, but he failed to take into account that this could have really bad consequences when released into the wild.
People have been pirating for 30 years, but the past 8 years have made it very easy. Want to pirate a game? Google the torrent, and start downloading. DRM? No problem, Google the patch that someone has already made. no-CD patch? Same.

Downloading an ISO of Windows is not pirating as long as you have a legitimate serial key, which all Windows laptops come with.
God forbid video games try to be more than just plain games.

The Saturn times weren't the greatest, but there was great stuff there as well. NiGHTS, Burning Rangers, Dragon Force, Panzer Dragoon, etc.

Personally I just input some gibberish. I find this kind of fail-safe far too risky.
The problem is that there aren't really devices to shield you against gun shots. Or explosives. The field has long not been level anymore.
Yeah, warfare has always been developed further, but that doesn't mean we should do it.
I think you'd be surprised at how much money many 12-year-olds have these days.
You missed the point of the grandparent post. It was replying to this:
So it's not a case of pirating to try it or not.
At least read the summary properly, folks. It was taking photos, not videos.
I guess you've never heard of Super Hi-Vision, the next project to get more money out of our wallet for poor reasons.

Also, Morph Ball.

The PC? It's not even a real gaming platform. Most games come out on the consoles, especially before the PSX.

If you think the XBox is a good choice, then why not the Wii? The Wii is 3 times stronger than the XBox.
Dvorak keyboard lay-outs are one thing, but how about all those people, like me, who use AZERTY? On those, WASD just plain sucks.
So why is this only a reason to hate consoles? It's not like the PC doesn't have exclusives as well. Want to play Septerra Core or Fallout? Get a PC.

Did something change, or is Steam suddenly not full of DRM anymore?
