    "Raving lunatic" doesn't seem correct to me. I'm amazed at 2 things about Zuckerberg:

    1) After all these years, to me he still looks somewhat like and acts a lot like a young teenager, or even a 12-year-old: 2018 photo.

    2) Zuckerberg seems completely comfortable with lying.

    I'm guessing: Maybe no one in the WA state government has an understanding of energy technology.

    Other issues that show a lack of understanding:

    1) In many places, Seattle doesn't have modern internet connections, as the parent comment indicates. One story: Seattle's low-income residents are 5-7 times more likely to be without internet (March 5, 2019)

    2) Washington State hasn't fixed the problems with traffic in Seattle. Fixing traffic congestion 'impossible,' says Washington transportation chief. (July 26, 2018)

    3) The Washington State laws are, in many cases, very poorly written. Three terrible initiatives in Washington State this year, plus a good one. (Oct. 18, 2018)

    Quoting from ISO CPP: "... sometimes mind-numbingly detailed technical document..." I translated "mind-numbingly" to "utter garbage", an exaggeration, I agree.

    Poor technology documentation is a HUGE problem. "Mind-numbingly" is just one of the problems with poor documentation. Bad documentation discourages people from entering a technical field. Poor documentation sometimes makes fixing coding errors FAR more difficult.

    Also, personal attacks are unhealthy for the attacker.

    I doubt the problems are solved by that book. But I haven't yet investigated.

    Sometimes Assembly language is the simplest, most easily understood way of coding something.

    That's not the problem, in my opinion. It's good to have all the possibilities, even if they are rarely useful.

    One of the problems with C++ is that NONE of the rarely useful features are documented well. The rarely useful features should be documented with warnings about the messes that are created when they are used in a way not intended.

    I have never seen excellent documentation of ANY features of C++. People who design computer languages are apparently generally not good at professionally careful and helpful communication.

    I notice that people who comment on Slashdot often assume that they know more than someone else.

    Instead of asking how I would accomplish the loss of flight recorder data, the AC who replied in the parent comment assumes that he (or she) knows everything.

    Here are some ideas about avoiding the loss of flight recorder data:

    1) There should be perhaps 4 flight recorders, located in the airplane in different positions.

    2) There should be 2 more flight recorders that are ejected with parachutes when the pilots know the airplane will crash.

    3) Flight recorders should be coated with foam rubber that cushions crashes and causes floating. Yes, that would make the recorders much larger, but not as big as the space required for one passenger.

    4) Anyone who reads this: Please supply your own ideas for preserving flight recorder data. Please DON'T imply that you know everything, and that the problem is not solvable.

    I should have emphasized the fact that the item advertised was not the item that was delivered 1st, not 2nd.

    There are other abusive practices on Amazon web pages, in my experience.

    There is NO "little text link" in the Amazon web page. There was no "pop-up".
