I've explained to people that the difference in how we celebrate Thanksgiving in Sweden is that it customarily involves lots of herring and reindeer as it's too cold for turkeys to survive the 11 month winters...
I can't say anything about the race aspect, but pulling people with kids out of line isn't necessarily to harass them but rather to speed things up a bit. Letting a single guardian try to manage kids, strollers, diaper bags, carry ons etc quickly brings the checkpoint to a grinding halt.

It's not until Nov 5-8, but it might be a good trip. It's not very in depth, but it does give you a heads up about what's going on in the Microsoft world of development. Some sessions were excellent, some extremely lame.
But if a given session sucks, hey, you're in a hotel/casino in Vegas.
I tend to think that those who typically live in poorly insulated houses with inefficient heating, are less likely to afford significantly higher electrical bills. They are also less likely to afford updating their home to modern standards.
I'm curious about that, does that apply even when the customer was acting in good faith and honestly believed the price was correct?
When not acting in good faith, for instance finding a pricing error post on Slickdeals or Fatwallet and buying the item to exploit the mistake, I can see the seller having a case. The buyer knew the price was a mistake at the time of purchase.
But then, what is there to prevent a salesman from claiming an honest mistake whenever a loss leader doesn't bring the expected revenue?
You couldn't do that when you build a sky scraper - they get it right the first time.
I'm sure it took quite a few tries before a basic design pattern like the arched bridge or doorway was reliable.
The difference is that construction has thousands of years of experience to draw from, we're working with less than 50. The long experience of the construction industry also allowed them to codify requirements to be applied to every single new construction. The various building codes are very large and complex, while we developers have something mentioned in passing in a meeting.
Why are you making users haul empty laptops back and forth?
Silly, just blur the terrorist bases and let the problem solve itself.
Find someone who makes music as a hobby?

Have the punitive damages be paid to a third party.

FTFA:
The primary function of negative dreams is rehearsal for similar real events
Perhaps your brain realizes the futility of exercising such an unlikely event and decides to terminate the rehersal?
Summarizing like a Slashdot editor is more fun.

I don't think you've thought your cunning plan all the way through.
Argh, this wonton use of bad puns has to end, they're generally tso lame.
Sure it sounds like a design flaw, but in reality, it was supposed to also double as an Easy-Bake Oven.
Muffins and Halo, awesome.
But I'm curious how PA has verified that this person is who she claims to be.

You can't run the Internets on this, not without an Olympic sized thread pool.

Overstaying a visa (which is how about 40% of illegal immigrants get here)
And thanks to the sluggish immigration system, a large part of the legal immigrants end up doing so as well.
Funny, when configuring a Mac I don't see an option to select an O/S other than Mac OS X, how do I avoid the Apple tax?
To save another character, you can also type "ground" rather than "grinded".

It was a different time. Somehow I doubt that scene would do very well today.
While everyone seems to want you to quit, sue, or play hardball, they're not the ones in the middle of it.
So why not try talking to the hiring manager first? It could be that someone doing the relocation is just taking their duties a little too seriously.
Because "most dense" is more gooder grammar.
