    Agreed. I don't see why Flash content needs to be indexed by search engines, because no content worth indexing should be exclusively in Flash.

    The only good things Flash has done are games and embedded video. Flash for entire websites is horrible and inaccessible.

    They distribute an RPM, as I recall, so that takes care of a good number of distros. Gentoo has an ebuild, so while you're still using the generic tarball, it's still managed by the portage system.

    For that matter, Google Earth has an ebuild as well.

    My theory has always been that time speeds up as you get older because a fixed chunk of time represents a smaller fraction of the time you've been alive. When you're five, a year is a whole 20% of your life, but when you're 25 it's only 4%.

    Except that this sort of thing has the same kind of effect as, say, DRM. It inconveniences or restricts legitimate users with additional roadblocks to using their firearms in situations like self defense or recreation, while those who would run around shooting people would find a way around the restriction and keep shooting anyway.

    There was a combo pack with Tetris and Dr. Mario released for the SNES, and that is actually what they play. They got started on the NES, though, and moved to the SNES later.

    Poor Debian. When they don't release for years upon years, people complain and poke fun at them for being so slow. When they pick up the pace, people complain they're releasing too often. (Yes, I understand it's not the same group of people in both cases; I just find it funny.)

    You put Star Trek: The Motionless Picture ahead of, erm, anything? I could maybe see it ahead of Final Frontier, since that was utter crap, but Nemesis and Insurrection were only mostly crap.
