    I had a flash application that made my old nokia 5800 phone vibrate in various intervals. And phone was small enough to fit inside a condom with some stretching.

    You won't see something like that on your new hip iphone! :D

    Depends on your definition of support. The planet can't suport the 6.8 billion people in existence if the had an American standard of living, but it can support a billion people with an American standard of living, and most of the rest living a sustienance level existence. I'm sure the planet will support 9 billion just fine, in the sense that a rural Chinese farmer is supported just fine.

    The corn we grow for ethanol isn't the same corn we grow to eayt. The important bit is that it takes up farmland that could otherwise be used to grow edible corn. Even if inedible (it's not, this is edible seaweed), this seaweed takes up space that could be used to grow edible seaweed. Same problerm, different crop.

    Absolutely. However, don't ask a public or private ER to treat you at their or taxpayer's expense when you snort crystal drain cleaner.

    So long as they also refuse to treat the obese, or those engaging in contact sports and other dangerous lifestyle choices.

    I've seen whistles (complete with the ball inside) printed from a reprap. Worked great, too. And Shapeways has panflutes you can have printed out for you.

    Now, you may believe that an increase in average global temperature is going to specifically cause more damaging weather events where humans are -> but that's a belief system, not a fact.

    No, it's a fact. The more energy in a weather system, the more severe the storms. It's basic physics.

    There are certain places where only an incandescent will work, where the light AND heat are needed.

    Then sell the bulbs as heaters. Oh wait, you can't. They don't produce heat efficiently enough for that. But a proper heater.
