    John Lasseter could learn a few things about creativity from this man.

    What makes you think he doesn't? Check this article:

    Lasseter noted: "Miyazaki is one of the greatest filmmakers of our time and he has been a tremendous inspiration to generations of animators. At Pixar, when we have a problem and we can't seem to solve it, we often look at one of his films in our screening room. Toy Story owes a huge debt of gratitude to the films of Mr. Miyazaki.

    There's a great article in the September 2003 "Siggraph Edition" of Animation Magazine with the same title as my subject. Basically, four brilliant Visual Effects wizards pick their favorite moments. It would be worth checking out if you can find a copy.

    Two personal picks of mine would have to be Gollum for being such a successfully integrated CG character. Especially considering the way they did it using motion capture of Andy Serkis. Another wonderful use of computers was in "O Brother, Where Art Thou". All of the film was scanned into digital form at Kodak's Cinesite facility. Then the brother's Coen were able to do massive color alterations to the film; for instance making the leaves in the forest a fully different color than they were. There was a great article, I believe in Cinefex, about this.

    I seriosly don't think that it's about viewers. Alot of kids at my school(I'm talking normal average kids not the otakus so this doesn't include me) watch adult swim. And I also remeber that just recently adult swim it's best ratings ever I think that that is the case everywhere. THE only explanation that I can think of is someone complaining about the content(think of the chidlren bs) or something like that
