Re:Stunning new black enclosure?Interesting fact: the original Vaios were designed to be Macs, but Apple didn't want to license 3rd party hardware vendors, so Sony turned them into Windows PCs.
As for Sony's including Firewire, I'm afraid they lose all brownie points for that after this.
That, if you can believe it (and I think I've got the right picture, but I may be wrong), is Sony's solution to the fact that their laptops had 4-pin firewire connectors, but some people needed 6 cable firewire leads (e.g. for external hard-drives with no psu of their own). So Sony added another 2 pin connector for the power. Instead of, say, using the standard 6-pin firewire connector.
I bet those pointless proprietary leads are cheap

Hold out for the new NSX :)
There are rumors that the next NSX will have electric assist as seen in the Honda DualNote (Acura DN-X) show car. It's still a year or two away, but if the rumors are true, we should see a 400+ hp supercar that gets 35-40 mpg. Let's see, if I start saving now, I might be able to afford one by 2010... image

More Information Available Here...
The site is currently down, but you can find more information on the Panasonic LCW in Japanese at Panasonic's site, and a large picture of the computer at ASCII 24. This is nothing special, really, it's quite easy to upgrade your computer to a dual monitor by using an inexpensive dual-port video card such as the Matrox G400, using the X Citerama extensions or the built-in Windows 2000 support. At my last job, where we had lots of extra monitors (because of layoffs), I had 3 high-resolution montiors hooked up to my Windows XP machine. I was planning on adding even more, until I myself got canned.

Little Better
Wow. I like it. Xircom certainly had the right form factor. But evidently they lacked the right marketing. I did not even know this awesome product existed. Shame on me.
Looks like Citizen is also on the right track. I cannot read Japanese, but evidently they are showing a full function PDA that is about half the size of a Palm V (little bigger than Rexx). I want it!

They also demo a PDA watch but that will catch on as much as calculator watches and pocket protectors. We all have those right?
