...and a short video (Real Video or Google Video) from Avenue Q. It's only the first 30 seconds or so, but you can see where it originally came from.

At least link to the proper video rather than a lame wow ripoff.. jeez...

That was my first thought. I think Flickr does what it does well and I don't think that most screenshots make that a better experience. On YouTube for example, it looks like half the videos are of Hastur Pimpleface killing a sock puppet (of course there are exceptions but even that might be better as a video by the original artists).

Apparently there's a market for a mechaflickr so, rather than whining that they should change the rules on a site that works well, make the site and make a million.

I first saw this as a WoW-based animation and was very impressed. Then I discovered that they lifted the audio from Avenue Q, a Broadway musical. You can see original The Internet is for Porn on the Avenue Q site.

The song is originally from a musical called Avenue Q. It is a good WoW video though.

On a side note, and although it will fall on deaf ears, I make this plea to any author of videos: Please do not put your video out in WMV format. Use DivX, Xvid, OGM, or even MOV; anything but WMV3 which cannot be read on anything but Windows.

So I went ahead and booked tickets for opening weekend on Broadway (note to non-theater people: they usually have a couple of weeks before the official 'opening night' where they tweak the show a little). Anywho, I just want to chime in that I also loved the show. The jokes are all there, and although you see a lot of it coming, it's still hilarious.

The play was an excellent ending to wonderful weekend I had in Manhattan - which was a much easier trip that I had expected. There's a Comfort Inn right in Times Square for $120-something a night, and the subway is the easiest thing in the world. Getting there is easy - just drive to one of the many ferries in New Jersey, park, and pay $11 for a round-trip ticket to Manhattan. Some even give you a free bus ride to whereever you need to go after that.

All in all, if you like Monty Python, and live somewhere near the east coast, go check out Spamalot. I loved my trip so much I'm heading back up to NYC this weekend (to see Avenue Q this time).
